    not seen flooding like this in quite some time

    roads are chaos in Essex really have had quite some rain last 24 hours ..... still raining heavy now

    what a night - several bouts of very impressive storms overnight woke up blurry eyed, and late for normal train - to find near all trains into London cancelled from Essex anyway as tracks flooded !

    crickey ! torrential rain, lightning and thunder here in Essex and looking at radar long chain of it how much rainfall we going to get ?

    yes Mark - had 3 recent near blinding lightning - amazing stuff then all quiet

    can here it grumbling in the distance now proper storm

    is that storm over South London a MCS now? looks to be 5 cells or more in a very small area

    I tihnk this first monster may skirt just to the south of Chelmsford but expecting a good show - the lightning is beocming more and more visible by the minute atm

    wooah - just saw lightning (seemed to be C-G from the focussed nature of it) - from here in Chelmsford from storm S-West of London !!! must be > 40 miles away

    I reckon a 80s/90s night to remember for London area east tonight radar is looking very positive blitz returns are going nuts

    looks like London to have quite a show in next hour or two just well timed for it getting dark

    everything seems to be pushing almost due N-East that stuff Portsmouth way could be interesting London way and east later )

    I think anywhere from Portsmouth to London on a line and eastwards is going to have a very fun night (if you like storms that is !)

    I think tonight is going to be quite memorable the setup seems pretty favourable to me
