my son is staying up to hopefully see some lightning (he is 11) his "sky" window is fantastic for lightning - third floor of the house, and 180 degree view

I'll echo what Harry said - humidity seems all over place I've just come back from gym - and it now feels fresher than earlier (and no not because I'm hot and bothered from gym)

^^ lol my prediction for tonight - "thundery" mess of showers hitting the west coast and then heading up into spine of country some tasty imports from France later -but most "Kent" clippers - I'm not convinced I'll see much except from a distance here in Essex

GFS looks strange to me makes me think I'm too far west for any storms tonight - and I'm in Essex !

I genuinely think you are looking wrong direction if you are looking to the stuff off Cornwall I don't think thats where the decent storms will materialise from - those will pop up out of the blue later this evening and further east IMO
