  1. Just slightly off topic... As a learner, I'm on the understanding that the Jet Stream is staying well south? Which is good if we don't want mild south westerlies! The same goes for summer if you want decent sunny weather, no? Now I fear it'll decide to show up during the summer months!! If I recall it spent some time round here the summer gone? Maybe a pattern is emerging and we can look forward to colder winters and cooler wetter summers!
  2. I knew this would be the case. Turning out? It will be a shambles. LOL. Weather advisory for Monday has gone, they should be looking at removing the advisory for most parts tomorrow too.
  3. Naaa, can't be right. Feb 2009 I got hit well but I always thought we needed Easterly. Currently Heathrow is reporting a Northerly @ 010 degrees. That's according to NOAA as I have no wind vane.
  4. Why? There's a few eccos over that part of London. More over the South....looking at raintoday that is.
  5. Thames streamer? Mmmmm but isn't that good for me? Nothing here. Also I thought winds had to be Easterly?
  6. Some comments really make me laugh. Not in a bad way.....Just so funny because it's so very true
  7. Warnings still on the Met Office site for tomorrow, which actually has Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead. They'd do well to remove that by the morning I think. Maybe those further East may see some more snow from North Sea but even there I think the temps have notched up a tad!
  8. Well I'd say far from correct looking at it...!
  9. Got to love the BBC Slough 5 Day Forecast Next 24 Hours Sat Night weather Light Snow Sun Day weather Light Snow Mon Day weather Light Snow Tue Day weather Sunny Intervals Wed Day weather Sunny Thu Day weather Light Snow LMAO
  10. So what's happening with the ppn from the continent.....is it that weak looking ppn over the SE atm.....?
  11. Ian, What does this chart show? Apart from colour.... Cheers
  12. Tuesday and Wednesda What about the milder air or (breakdown) whatever it's to be called?
  13. Yamkin, with the wind from the NE. Won't the band from France just miss me?
  14. I feel worse....if London can only just manage then I'm further West. Sky is overcast but nothing is falling. I've seen some BBC forecasts that blow any hope out the water
  15. Looking at raintoday it looks as though I'll get.......nothing! At the moment it is passing to my South.
  16. Mmmm I'll probably miss out but even so when is this meant to be? Tonight/tomorrow from that front coming up from France?
  17. Jan, Can I expect anything here, from the front? Probably just lighter snow/showers as it loses strength over land
  18. lol I think you have far more chance of snow than me!!
  19. Should've gone to Arsenal game, getting a good fall there right now!!
  20. The band of ppn showing over Kent and Sussex on raintoday. Is that the ppn that is supposed to give us here and London the snow overnight? To me it doesn't look that potent and it looks like it'll be moving fairly quickly? By that I mean it'll be here before and won't be here long enough to last through the night. I can only assume there's something out in France atm?
  21. I saw earlier on the BBC forecast this snow didn't really make it's way to London and this way. Rob did mention some spells of snow, as you said. However, looking a the charts, to me it looked like it'll be a lot more extensive?
  22. I never saw it before it was forecast to be all over only heard about it. That's some change and backtrack/downgrade whatever you call it!
  23. Hey guys, I see some ppn showing on the GFS for tomorrow night going in to sunday morning over South England. Is this meant to be the snow event that I've heard for Sunday. I've heard some reference to sleet/wet snow....! I also thought it was going to be Sunday night? So at the moment what is the story with regards to this. I understand it's a low in France coming up to us, looking at it, tomorrow night in to Sunday. Like the Tuesday night snow, albeit less intense? I can't really read the models that well yet. After seeing the BBC forecast it would suggest the snow will be kept futher SE. And will not be the snow event first thought for us! A few showers maybe nothing special!? Thanks to anyone who does reply!
