London and South East Regional Discussion - Part 565

So Kaddy goes for 2-4cm in SE. That's less than guys on here believe, being in the West this side if we do get some of the Western flank then perhaps up to 2cm? That's either a very light but longish fall or a short fall. Heathrow reckon they could get 6cm and have already canceLOLelled flights. -

I would say it is ordinary, today budged over 0c, snow slushy. It doesn't feel that cold, we can't expect it to though but also having been in Norway until Weds night it does feel that bit less cold here of course.- 1,325 replies

Looking more likely up be over, that's what was also being discussed over at TWO. I have noticed when we hear 'set to last' be it, forecast or media. It is most often the absute opposite. Besides hasn't the GFS hinted at something warmer a while before any other the others?- 1,325 replies

That is hard to imagine, in London that is. Would that verify, surely it'd be clear skies over snowfields in more rural parts?- 1,325 replies

Disappointed about the switch East, any limited fall will not be too long in duration looking at West of the band. Sounded quite good initially. All just that bit further East.- 1,325 replies

No snow this far out tomorrow, perhaps a dusting at best. Warnings still not covering this side for a reason.- 1,325 replies

Also still no change in the MetO warnings re tomorrow, yellow ice warning and only small section of the East with any snow warning. This suggests there isn't a lot of confidence in snow potential.- 1,325 replies

Looking at the potential for Sunday the MetO currently have an ice warning for the majority plus snow for Eastern counties. So is it looking like any snow will move up across those counties rather than London too or even this far out?- 1,325 replies

North of South Home Counties*

Isn't a Thames Streamers that dumps a whole lot of snow all across London and slightly West, the south of Northern Home Counties, North of the North Home Counties and Essex? Also very rare?
-
Very very light now as I expected it to be, not as slow as some thought. If only the warm sector would naff off and give us snow this Sunday, if the precipitation is to reach this far. 850s need to be below 5c don't they?
-
Disagree this will last much beyond 4 pm for these parts, further East of course but it's moving away and there's little left behind. The initial thoughts of all might and in to Sat would indicate thoughts were it'd move a lot slower I guess?
-
Looking on rain today with distance covered by band in the time I estimated if to be then that we are on end of it, here to West London. Unless I've overplayed or it is to slow down more, plus the back looks patchy.
-
Snow looking like it'll be clearing this side of London by around 3-4pm? Anyone confirm?

That band of snow doesn't look like lasting all through to Sat. By Fri eve that looks gone from here. Where's Satirday's supposed snow coming from and also Sunday's?- 877 replies
