  1. with the uppers dropping later on, and the shower activity already pepping up, i would say some of us should have a covering tonight
  2. starting to cross the sea now, themeteoradar has the precipitation in the south east falling as rain, and the stuff crossing the sea as rain, anyone from that part of the country to confirm?
  3. Noticed that, crossing the sea they might pick up a bit too!
  4. I live most the time in belfast in strabane the odd weekend, so anywhere accross the north suits me tbh lol
  5. euro 4 isnt good viewing for northern ireland, nothing at all for the next two days, and anything it is showing is rain lol also it isnt half as cold as forcasts said it would be last night, 4 degrees in belfast this morning. was supposed to be -5 at home last night but heard there was barley a frost
  6. the 18z has us getting a battering on saturday instead, it might not be all bad
  7. yeah, there have been 3/4 times this winter where we were expecting frontal snow only for it to track more southerly
  8. the main uk forcast on bbc website looks great for friday, low moves up over the whole country, pivots and goes ccross england, north east looks to be under the snow band for about 12 hours
  9. model thread makes you laugh, they're all obsessed with getting it to track south and miss if its gona prolong cold uppers for 1-2 more days. who cares if its murky and cold outside, its a massive snow event we are all looking for surely?
  10. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings#?date=2018-03-02 Interesting warning, says very unlikely but very high impact
  11. ICON better wise up, gona end up with nothing out of this spell
  12. proper shower in titanic quarter here now, hopefully keeps up
  13. the polar low thats dropping tomorrow goes straight across the north, forecasts show the ppn not hitting us though for some reason, reckon could get a surprise out of that.
  14. radar for England is looking a lot more ferocious than forecasts were showing for Monday! hopefully a sign of things to come
  15. from a selfish standpoint rather it comes up accross the country, we never really loss the cold air for a few days up here
  16. met.ie forcast for tomrrow "Another cold day for Tuesday. Frost clearing gradually, with some bright or short sunny spells developing. But increasing clouds will bring some rain and sleet showers to Leinster and east Munster, during the afternoon and evening. Top temperatures 3 to 6 C. A moderate to fresh northeasterly breeze will make it feel colder." are they actually serious? rain and sleet?!
  17. the BBC map forecast is utterly ridiculous for Friday country shut down lol
  18. UKMO +t144 nice angle on those isobars bringing the rest of is into play
  19. dont buy into this convective craic, few times this year we had -8 uppers in the north west, over a very warm atlantic, and the radar was always just sporadic, i think our snow chances lay in the kinks in the isobars, so troughs/fronts popping up in the flow. last nights fax chart looks very good for the north east
  20. uhhh ohh, ARPEGE high res model, more likely to get these things correct
  21. current shower hitting strabane is really heavy! WhatsApp Video 2018-02-11 at 18.10.09.mp4
