Showers still a thick sleet/wet snow, looking at thr euro4 thr 850hpa temps at -6/-7 at yhe moment, by 9 or 10 they drop to -8/-9 so everything should be snow then!

First shower of snow here, flakee were massive so must be very wet and just turning from rain, wonder is there any chance when its day time?

latest video forcast on bbc site downplays to too, says 2-5cm above 100m, 5cm+ above 300m and smaller accumulations low levels

really? I would have thought tomrrow morning would be peak time, bbc app shows constant snow form 6am-3pm, night time thursday shows sleep for some reason

just watched that metoffice forcast, tomrrow looks like snow all day? if that happens there would be some huge totals!

anyone explain how the ARPEGE model shows mostly rain for N.ireland under -8/9 uppers, and snow for say south east england under much higher upper temps? euro4 showing snow at the same timeframe, which model is better? Thanks!

Never worry, Euro 4 6z just out, 48 hours time looks pretty good for most of us up North!

met office website still have warnings for Tyrone Derry and Antrim Wed,Thurs and Friday

seen that dont understand how it can be showing rain! only a positive note, euro4 is even higher res, and at 48hours, which is wednesday night, the -9 isotherm is almost touching ireland, and showers turning to snow wednesday night

It was showing 3 and snow this morning, il be working in Belfast too so dont think il see much in the way of any either

BBC app now has maximum of 4 and rain on Thursday and 5 on Friday :S are they lookin at the same charts as us?

Scandi high = England east coast get cold and snow we usually just get dry and sometimes cold, maybe some snow for east coast. Greenland high = northern blocking ie 2010, north and north west fair best. upcoming cold spell I would be quite pessimistic for my area (Strabane) every year one of these events forecasted we end up with sleet unfortunately

yeahh just seen the 9pm update! the automated pictures are showing a completely different picture than the video forcast! although i remember the last snow event was similar

BBC with big downgrades now on there site! showing rain almost all day tomorrow for strabane and derry!

Snowing in derry for past hour, lots of snow now even main roads are white, donegal looks like its been snowing all day

A good 5cm in strabane co. Tyrone, snowing on and off since i got up at 7!
