  1. Yep - real exciting times ahead for sure.. though the threat would appear to be further north (or is it further south ? ) Here in Quedgeley, Gloucester we still have some lying snow from Thursdays battering ! Certainly some beefy showers heading our way overnight and if they hit us in the early hours then a covering for sure ? As for the rest of the week.. a tough call.. chopping and changing all the time ! But... what a winter !!! Enjoy all John p.s. Only just discovered where the regional discussion thread had disappeared too ! A good idea though
  2. Remarkable snow event here. Non stop last few hours, huge flakes and a white out ! John in Gloucester p.s. More local reports please. Must be bad up in the Forest of Dean and Cotswolds !
  3. ...hmmm the Akashic field theory that Ervin Laszlo lays claim to.. which of course lead to the discovery of the Universal Information Fields. One must not ignore the work of Edgar Cayce who frequently accessed the Akashic Records of course... Interesting.... very interesting John in Quedgeley, Gloucester

  7. Which means when it arrives it'll stall over us for the next 24 hours ! John in Quedgeley, Gloucester p.s. Looking at the meto radar there appears no moving in our direction from 7pm to 7.30. Dont worry it's just tantalising us ! p.p.s. Lamp post watch report.. odd grains here and there..
  8. After a great dump of heavy snow then followed a period of sleet but now ....back to steady snow.. but looks like the best has past through now. Still a great surprise ! John in Quedgeley, Gloucester

  15. We've had Humber streamer, a Wash streamer and judging from.. http://www.raintoday.co.uk/ we may be on for a Thames streamer... well... we may get a few dregs out of it ! As for the attack from the South West Wed/Thurs I think I may just resort to nowcasts... John in Quedgeley, Gloucester p.s. Can't recall a Bristol Channel streamer this period.. but I will probably stand corrected
  16. Yep - pretty persistent for over an hour now but only settling on existing snow cover. Still.. its a Brucie bonus ! John in Quedgeley, Gloucester
  17. The weather will do what it will do and we should all know by now how 'unpredicable' it can be. Yes a downgrade on the weekend snow (though I thought most was coming this evening and overnight...). Its not the mid of Jan and most of us have seen lying snow for 5 days or more and certainly more to come. When and where ? Well isn't that the fun part of it ! Yes the meto do get it wrong occasionally and those in the southeast will be whinging more than some .. heck they have enuf snow there anyway ! Will there be a battle royal as we get invaded from the south west mid week ? Or will the high hold ? Answers on a postcard to...... Great drama ! Cheers ! John in Quedgeley, Gloucester
  18. Nice suprise, again, heavy snow flurries here ! John in Quedgeley, Gloucester. p.s. What an outlook to look forward too ! Battle grounds being drawn up for mid week ! (attack from the south west). And then we have the front from the east/south east to keep us occupied with beforehand !
