Won’t know until 24-48 hours beforehand… ie the Cumbria streamer in December… troughs and feature pop up at the last minute… fax charts will pick up on them 24-48 hours before… we’ll have to wait and see 🤞🤞🤞❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

This is very true but we can get a good idea of the potential by looking at the pressure charts. Some lovely Irish sea potential on the ECM and ICON in particular.

Maybe a bit like this? 😉

  2. Hi everyone,

Been posting like mad on TWO but thought I’d pop in here.

I don’t know about anyone else in the NW (in particular, Greater Manchester) - but I’m far more interested in the Arctic NW’ly airmass and convective potential , rather than systems coming in from the south?

Hopefully if we do get any systems pushing in - heights will be low and/or the wind will somehow be completely calm or from a westerly quarter - to avoid what shall not be named (the s*** s*****) .

It’s all about the NW’ly showers and troughs for me - any ideas on whether they’ll deliver? Dec 2009 was a dream and we all remember what happened in early Jan.

Anyway I hope you all are well!
