Lightning now visible on the dawlish beach webcam http://www.dawlishbeach.com/live/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=18
Great link - thank you! Only thing flickering here is my lounge lights!
-
Yes, it looks like once again it will split before it hits Bognor and pass either side of us. Bournemouth looks to be in the firing line for some of the fun though.
And first strike for the I.O.W.
Seems it will miss us here too, looks like it's taken quite a sharp turn too.

First strike in the Channel below Jersey!
Hi CF, how are you? All good I hope, as much as I want to stay up I'm struggling so will keep the curtains and windows open and set the alarm for a couple of hours time :-)

Haven't seen anymore lightning so think that might be it for now

Stand by for round 2...!
Yes I've just seen more lightning!
-
Best storm for years saw some lightning hit the ground a few houses away with an almighty crack and sparks and got a teeny bit scared for a second!

I hope we get less cloud tonight as I would like a chance to see a shooting star or two!

Had about a dozen fork lightning and thunder not directly overhead but great nonetheless

Hello everyone, glad I'm not the only one to feel very disappointed with not getting any storms overnight - I felt tears of frustration this morning but that's probably because I was overtired as I didn't sleep very well (damn that anticipation!)

Hi everyone, really great to read the reports! I have seen some distant flashes to my south west and I'm in Waterlooville, a bit north of Portsmouth so I was surprised to see them from here but pleased none the less.

Best of luck
Cornwall! Night everyone

A 6 on the Murr scales and pepping up - it seems determined and relentless!
Hi everyone, it's snowing lightly in Portsmouth and a couple of places further west too - rather unexpectedly!
-
Its snowing again, albeit lightly. My 100mm cover remains and I think and hope many of us will be seeing a few CMs more over the coming hours. So far, the frontal mass is heading due Westwards from the East, with little correction NNE, if any.
Hello GTLTW! Good to see you. It's great getting unexpected snow flurries especially in my neck of the woods.
-
Started snowing lightly again in Portsmouth after a 30 minute break or so - slightly bigger flakes this time!

Hi slb, I am doing fine now after a horrible year. This year seems to have started well with all this snow for me! Looks like some will be hitting you very soon and it is very steady and stronger that what we had Friday even.
Sorry to hear about that - hopefully this year will be better for you. We had a lot of snow on Friday and I got stuck going to work so abandoned my car (safely!) and a colleague's husband picked me up - as he was an ex police traffic officer and now runs safety driving courses I felt very secure! We've just sold our house in Portsmouth so are looking for somewhere further inland - Horndean/Petersfield way so hopefully that will reduce some of the 'marginal' aspects we get on the coast here!
-
Chucking it down now on the South coast here!
I love it when the coastal regions get snow! Have fun!
-
Steady snow here in Bognor. I looked out the window at 8:30am and just a dusting, now 20 minutes later and everything is well covered.
Temp is -0.3C
Hi coldfingers! How are you? Well I hope! Was just going to log off when I saw your message and had to say hi. The radar looks fab for those further east!
