  1. As do I. I was gobsmacked earlier on when members were already writing tonight off. How wrong they were.
  2. Saturday looks great for me now when I had initially been forecast 17C and rain, it's now 22C and sun.
  3. It's all stopped now. All we had was drizzle, one or two heavy bursts that lasted no longer than two or three minutes.
  4. We had about 12 seconds of rain and I was forecast heavy showers.
  5. 19C and overcast here. Apparently the rain is on its way.
  6. Rather windy in Blackpool today. Feels fresh when caught out in open areas though it's very pleasent in places that are sheltered. 14.1C and blue skies currently
  7. 13.1C Looks like the South are in for quite a poor start to May where as the North of England, NI and Scotland will fair well - dry and sunny - though quite cool in Scotland. I expect a return of the SE'lys after we're through the first third of the month, however.
  8. Tomorrow should be better for us, Backtrack. High teens (maybe the isolated 20/21) and the difference tomorrow is less wind and plenty of sunshine!
  9. Been fantastic, last 7 days especially. Temperature soared above 24C yesterday which is exceptional for Blackpool even in late-May and June nevermind April! May be a record too, I'm unsure. I've never had such a great tan so early in the year!
  10. Some pretty extraordinary temperature drops occuring in the SE at the moment!
  11. Would love to do some storm chasing tonight but alas, my region (except for the far SE) will miss out.
  12. That one is the most impressive going by the radar. Currently over Loughborough...
  13. You all saying "guess that's it for today". The storms were rumbling 'til after 9pm last night in the NW.
  14. Rotherham apparently bore the brunt of that thunderstorm earlier.
  15. Similar reports from Hallam FM (local radio)
  16. No-one seems to have noticed that monster over Sunderland...??????
  17. Indeed, looking quite violent to the SE of you!
  18. I hope so though I'll need a bit of luck tonight! We should see quite a few impressive temperature drops where storms hit in the SE.
  19. Ignore my question, painfully obvious they won't. Meanwhilse, cells getting organised to the SE of London it seems!
  20. Could the E Wales cells make it to NW England?
