  1. Absolutely thrashed it down for the last 20 mins or so. It feels horribly sticky at 18C with close to 100% humidity, however.
  2. 19C and hazy sunshine, lovely outside!
  3. In the summer I add 3-4C to predicted GFS temperatures.
  4. I hope the high sits over us and builds like early June. But also hope it doesn't move away as quickly this time!
  5. I think we'd all settle for that, it's beautiful!
  6. This time next week looks very warm and sunny for England wales - hot in places. Hope the GFS is right!
  7. ECM shows a massive improvement next week with very warm 850s and high pressure! GFS beginning to show the same aswell looking at the 18z! Let's hope this isn't another effin tease!
  8. Been raining pretty much non stop (albeit light at times) for about 24-30hours. Haven't seen the sun since Saturday evening. Feeling cool at 14C with a wind speed of over 30MPH. Not sure about the gusts. Currently 20C with sunny spells in Glasgow. Jealous.
  9. "This spider is capable of biting humans, causing itchiness and a burning sensation followed by a red patch with white lumps." Must of been quite a fright, you don't seem them often. Never seen one myself. Lucikly - as has been said - no venom involved!
  10. I know it's FI but it's ridiculous how far north those the 850 20C line gets in Northern Europe. They seem to be having a pretty brilliant summer.
  11. I don't agree Shedhead. It's mid-July. In any sunshine it'll feel warm and after Tuesday winds are forecast to ease so it shouldn't feel too bad at all. The only exception is the North Sea coasts but I don't agree with your cool statement, even here.
  12. Been a warm and sunny day with little wind. Much better than previously expected. Only just begun to cloud over, still feeling warm at 20C. Peaked at just over 21C earlier today.
  13. I'd be happy with 21-23C and sun in my area, that'd probably equate to 25-27C in the SE. So not a massive heatwave, just some high pressure that lasts for a while instead of these ridges we keep being teased with for 24-48hours.
  14. No, weather forecasts and forecasting programmes have been dumbed down steadily for ages!
  15. I'm also p!$$ed that it's all being dumbed down. It's as if we're all eight or nine years old. It'd be better suited to CBBC. I think it's about time pressure charts were brought back in on national forecasts.
  16. Indeed. Odds on "hurricane on the way" being discussed?
  17. Northern and Eastern Europe seem to be having another above average summer yet again.
  18. It talks about catching basking sharks in the synopsis? What is it actually about?
  19. Actually the last 9 days or so have been fantastic up here in NW England. Even after the miserable morning we had today it's now sunny and feels warm at 19C.
  20. He hasn't said that it would give us dry, warm and settled conditions. All he has said is it could be the sign of improvements...
  21. Blackpool now the warmest place in the UK. Still at an uncomfortable 24C!
