  1. Daylight has a huge part in it!!!!!!! Towards the end of september it goes dark at 7pm MIST AND LOW CLOUD HERE ITS CRAP
  2. Still just 16C here in Blackpool, a few miles inland its 19-21C. As I've said earlier, it's not cold but there's a nip in the breeze. Can't wait for the wind direction change on Thursday! I have high hopes for Thursday through to Sunday...
  3. I'm not happy with the NW wind! NW / W are the two directions we don't want! I imagine even a SW would send the temperature up. N / NE / E / SE / S would send the temperatures up by about 5C methinx, it's still hovering in between 15C and 16C here though it still feels amazing out there and there isn't a cloud in the sky at all!
  4. True, but the temperature reached 15C yesterday at around 12pm but never really got any higher, despite the light NW winds and unbroken sunshine! Thursday onwards, with the Easterly winds, should be fantastic. Though tomorrow will still be pretty awesome! In the Winter, we curse the pennines during Easterlies. During the Summer, we love the pennines during Easterlies.
  5. I'm being pessimistic! Yeah, it only got up to 15C yesterday so 18/19C will feel nice! You should good in the south-east of the region! Tomorrow looks the worst of the lot for me tomorrow which is odd as it was initially forecast to be the best! Thursday-Saturday looks best for us in the NW with a warm Easterly wind.
  6. I'm from Blackpool We're stuck at around 15C. We were originally forecast 21-23C here today. It feels like 20C though...
  7. Looks like its our coast, not the East coast that will suffer from sea breezes today. It's not until Thursday that we're projected 20C+ now I need a wind direction change... Doesn't look possible though
  8. It's only about 15c here but feels soooo much warmer. Clear blue skies and light NW wind.
  9. Hoping that this month will turn out above average for rainfall. Model watching, it seems like we're in for a crap month if you're after sunshine and warmth. I'm hoping for a wet start to May aswell, with a warmth and sunshine taking hold from the fourth week in May. I hope the majority of the rain over Summer comes from thunderstorms. In the meantime, the models seem to be sticking with the NW, N, NE airstream with frequent atlantic lows. Hopefully the S and SE will get some much needed rainfall!
  10. Reached 21C here in Blackpool today. That's huge for the time of year! Felt like the height of summer out there today!
  11. I found the wind today very mild indeed. Feels like a mid-May warm spell...
  12. The next mild spell looks very similar to the charts that produced the heatwave at the end of September. They're too early this year!
  13. It was only SE and EA that had a good July in 2010. It felt like February up here in the NW!
  14. The late September 2011 heatwave was loads better than this.
  15. That big area of PPN to the North of I.O.M looks interesting atm for everywhere south of Fleetwood, yeah?
  16. PICS GUYS!!! All we have is icy rain in the NW I need to see heavy snow!
  17. Freezing rain for me in Blackpool, right? No chance of a bit of sleet/snow to begin with?
  18. Why are you all caravaning so much? This cold spell is far from over imo. Be pateient. I think we've become overly expectant of snow thanks to the last 3 winters which is silly. That being said, I do believe Feb '12 has more up its sleeve!
