I reckon I live in a good spot for this little event! (Warminster, Wilt's) Looking at the most recent forecast, there seems to have been an upgrade!

So, a few hours ago everyone was swallowing their Prozac, and now they're spitting it out!! I suspect some will be licking it off the carpet tomorrow morning! Talk about a change in mood! lolWOW, not counting my chickens yet, seen these never come good before, but WOW, that is a thing of beauty, and we are only 4 days into winter ladies and Gents!

Unlike so many people on here, I don't take each run as gospel, but look at the overall pattern. It seems quite clear to me that high pressure will rise over Scandinavia over the next couple of weeks, which means there is a chance of easterly winds and therefore cold temps and risk of snow.
The building blocks are nearly in place, detail will come later
I am hoping to see a bit of the white stuff tomorrow am

The GFS and ECM look great tonight for cold lovers, but I was reading on another weather forum that we are in for a mild wet and windy January (according to a so called expert, Bill Farkin?)

It looks like being mild for the next week or so. Some models showing the usual eye candy in FI, but that's about it. Will this turn out to be another miserable winter

Stonking Sky News forecast for Sunday! Snow right from the tip of Cornwall to Dover and up to about B'Ham (ish)
sounds good!! What time does the sky news weather come on?
-
Morning all.
Those snow showers are moving further west than was forecast last night (maybe some flurries getting into the east part of our region later on?). It just shows how the exact detail is difficult to forecast just a few hours ahead in these types of conditions.
Sunday/Monday certainly looks interesting!!
