Fine light snow in west Cardiff for the last hour but starting to pick up a bit now - bigger flakes. more of them and blowing around in the wind. This is the beginning of the event for us I think

Remember that the 3PM start was for the whole of the red zone including SW England. Emma's coming in from the south so they'll get hit first and we'll get it later. Hopefully we'll keep it later as well!

I'v noticed over the years that the more members that are online with the Welsh Regional weather chat the more snow we get. We're up to 40 at the moment. A few more (50+?) could get us the snowmargeddon that Andymusic has been predicting for the last 10 days! Stay logged in folks - it will be worth it!

Meto still showing light snow all day for Cardiff (although low % probability throughout) but heavy snow high probability for late Thursday into Friday morning. I'll take that - just hope it comes off!

The weather warning for snow was always likely to be touch and go for Cardiff. Still look to be in the sweet spot for the end of the week - hope it firms up as we get closer. There's been plenty of shevents in the last few years and we are due a big one!

There's a few showers popping up but not much atm. Plenty of PPN over N Ireland but looks to be heading in the wrong direction for Wales apart from the NE corner. Got everything crossed but....

Not feeling it at the moment for me and mine - Cardiff on the wrong side of everything. Remaining positive though and really think that we're due a good one in SE Wales before long. Bring it on!!

Bit fed up to report that we're having plenty of cold rain in west Cardiff. Makes a change from tepid rain I suppose.....

Much excitement in the model thread once again. Pub run shows some potentially longer term cold (ie further than the end of the coming week). Probably back to normal by tomorrow morning with renewed gnashing of teeth and model-related stress. Personally, I'm looking forward to some crisper mornings but more so some dry days!!
