Yes but that old adage is a myth. In fact it's total bunkem.. I've lost count of the cold spells here. That never produce snow.

Just seem MO extended outlook.. And its totally at odds with what the models we see are telling us.. Still banging the high pressure drum for end of December and new year... Why are they ignoring ECM GFS GEM and the rest.

Suspect it will be picked up tomorrow, it could be marginal for places with less height - but one to watch, it is unlikely to disrupt or slide, as the flow will be broadly westerly.

Frustrating non sticking snow here... Met app has me down for a few light showers tonight.... Its a bust.... Thursday looking like a miss as well..... The next hunt begins.

It is quite tragic that I haven't seen significant snowfall for 6 years now a lot of that owing to bad circumstances and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Another poor and cruel winter for me.
I don't think I can handle another winter of watching everyone else get significant falls of snow while I get nothing, it is far to painful. Can't see myself logging in or posting much from now on so in the words of Dragons Den - "I'm out."
Don't go barmada.. Its nice to have someone in here who is even more pessimistic than me.... And that takes some doing.

Tuesday not looking to bad now.. I'm expecting at least a covering... Just a pity the main course on thurs looks like stopping just below us in the North Midlands.
