    Yeah ...looking forward to today...been some cracking games between us two teams over the years.....i used to love going to oldham...remember getting thrown out one year as a kid for chucking snowballs on the pitch.

    I posted exactly this in mod thread yesterday and was pilloried remorselessly....the worst bit, which inevitably will be what happens.

    And its a very big caveat...pm air has proven to be garbage even here in the northwest..gfs is wrong about the front on tuesday...arpege is a higher res model ...and thurs is as i said looking like rain.

    I think were about to see the old adage..get the cold in first and the snow will follow exposed for the BS that it is....hi res arpege kills tuesdays front and thurs fri is looking like rain...dont see any other oppurtunitys in the models except maybe a slight dusting on the south east...then more than likely back to mild.

    Ecm now backing off....tuesday snow off the menu according to hi res arpege...thurs fri now looking like rain due to a big mild sector stuck right over the country.....just what will it take to get some proper snow.

    I share your scepticism....tuesday looks a bit iffy.... to early to call thurs fri..but i fear the worst.....im not giving up yet though ...lets hope the ecm sticks with its earlier output..another backtrack and i fear a frustrating cold spell, not the same without some decent snow.

    Really hope this front gets here on tuesday...it has a feb96 look about it ..my all time favourite snow event...over a foot here.
