    Convinced now that this region is cursed, the second price of a decent storm is now on the downgrade according to 18z.

    Said it before say it again...because cold and snow is so rare here the models all struggle, that coupled with the changing climate is the problem.

    Bit of a morale boost from the met office...at least they now mention snow at lower levels.

    I think the GFS may be overdoing the uppers at -5 -6 when in reality they will be -3 -4 that's the difference between rain and snow...the GFS is known to do this quite often.

    I'm becoming very concerned indeed about the MET and BBC not being on board, its only 3 days off now, if we cant get decent snow from this setup its time to give up...ps If any mods are reading, I think its outrageous that NWS has been banned from mod thread, nothing wrong with his input at all.

    Seems to me this runner is nowt but a pain in the butt...all its doing is interupting the cold flow and bringing rain.

    How do you see lancashire and the rest of the region faring damien...i fear the worst here in blackburn only 80mtrs above sea level.

    The good thing about this is that contrary to normal, things seem to be upgrading rather than downgrading the closer we get....all it takes really is for upper temps to be a degree or so colder and we will all get snow.

    If we could just get those uppers a degree or two colder we may well be in business next week.
