    It's got me all excited and I soooo need to get to bed after my late night lamp post watching last night. I'm going to leave the curtains open tonight so if I do wake in the middle of the night and it's not black, then I'll get up to peek out. Night all and hope you all get a bit of white in the morning.

    So in summary so far, snow in Chepstow, Cwmbran, Bargoed, Nelson, but not Caerphilly. It must have just clipped me. In fact Chepstow, Cwmbran, Nelson is practically a straight line.

    Were you skiing in Killington? That was where I did skiing for the first time. Mind you that was in the middle of April some years ago. I report - nothing.

    Earlier today Metcheck was giving mega snow even for Cardiff tomorrow, now it's not. Now the met office are giving weather warnings for snow. So who's right? Who's believing who. All will be revealed ....................................... tomorrow Hubby's just gone and parked his car at the end of the street. He's not taken it all the way down to the main road, so we're going for a "maybe it will, maybe it won't, but just in case" tactic. signed Confused of Caerphilly

    Got up at 10 - the snow's just about gone here. But there's a load of very low cloud just come over Caerphilly mountain.

    I make the railway station at about 100m, so I'm about 40m above you there. Across the valley in Energlyn, so you can probably see my lights lol. The older road on my street had snow stick straight away, but the newer tarmacked bit has no snow on it. The snow is going back and fore between snow and more sleety. I'm going to bed now and hoping there's something to measure in the morning. It was nice sharing this snow / non snow with you all tonight.

    Dingdong, you must be at a lower part of Caerphilly to me as it was sticking practically as soon as it started here.

    I typed too soon. The bits that were cleared on the drive from the sleet is now white again as the snow got heavy and big again.

    There's some monster flakes coming down now.

    Snow is still wet stuff here. It doesn't want to stick to the bricks on my drive, but likes the patio slabs round the back.

    eek, that's a long way they went on their heads. My grass is all white now.

    The flakes may look a bit wet but it's sticking already. I'm at about 140m.

    I've just turned my lamp post on, I have my porch light on and have opened the blinds in the kitchen. All I have to do now is wait for something.

    Fit athletic olympian men yes. "some men" probably not. Mind you, the skiers' kit is sturdy. I saw one skier do probably a few hundred metres on her behind and there wasn't a rip to be seen.

    Same here Jay. I just looked out and there doesn't seem to be anything happening.

    I've just been out. Clouds look low over Caerphilly Mountain. Nothing in the air yet. My car windscreen is slightly frosted, but I can wipe it off with my finger. Not sure of temperatures or anything, but it wasn't bitter. I've not switched my lamp post on yet.
