  6. summer 2006 in the south , for my patch there was not any storms until mid july and then many followed through the weeks at least one thundery outbreak or storm a week ,even september there were storms and thundery downpours and at night to , before that it was hot and dry with brown grass and low rivers , so i wont give up hope of thunderstorms just yet summer 2010 so far reminds me of 2006 (se england)
  7. its still looking like hot and humid middle of next week for SE england with a chance of some thunderstorms at some point

  12. NAE show ppn heading towards the SE at thursday night into friday morning , ukmo show a trough develop ahead of the cold front could this turn thundery ? GFS dont seem to show ppn this far east at the time the NAE chart is showing ppn further east

  16. my mobile handles net weather much better now and looks better on the phone it must be to do with the upgrade
  17. really enjoying the hot and sunny weather here in the se , this is really becoming a good summer in terms of sunny clear and hot just how i like it, and it looks like its lasting for quite a while yet, would like some thunderstorms or a least downpours late evening to cool the night of a bit and because i love storms of course. my flat gets very hot and have to open the 2 big windows full, and it still dont cool down only abit late, the last couple of nights the breeze has been nice late evening and as im facing south good for storms! my area the grass is going brown , i think the drought situation up north is worrying but down in south we are at risk soon i think, rain looks likely further north over the days a head but not in the south whilst keeping the hot sunny weather. i remember summer 2006( se) hot dry until mid july then massive storms then storms every week until september
  18. ive not heard thunder since last july, only some flashes in distance ..every chance of a storm just vaporizes the day or hrs before i used to see some really good storms from my a patch , we got the heat but that dont allways mean storms of course but i need a thunderstorm , il just have to go chasing if it comes to it....in europe but i want the storms here at home..

  21. from the weather online ..an extract from the sunday forecast . looks like a storm floating around somewere in england and wales ... (England and Wales it's looking mainly dry and sunny though the odd rogue thunderstorm could pop up somewhere.)weather online no but seriously this is how hard its going to be to pin any storm, the models are changing so frequently:unsure:
  22. if the GFS cant make up its mind then why is this ? updated 4times a day, but if it was twice a day we would not know about a couple of runs...and would they be the two runs we want or not..
  23. EXPLANATION OF SPC SEVERE WEATHER PARAMETERS for those that dont know and for those that do..its interesting reading.
