Looks like another model into the 110mph category.
I'm torn between thinking - are we looking at an historic wind event here? And, surely it isn't going to be that bad, because things like this don't happen?
It the wind direction also quite rare event we could be seeing across most of the country

Gfs 18z looks an upgrade for central mids!!snow all night tomorrow and also all day saturday!!❄
The winds are worrying also parts of north east over 100 mph on the icon. Just 80 mph for the west mids. Yikes

That’s total snowfall - I imagine the lying snow prediction is less exciting!

Sorry mwb I meant in the scheme of things ie damaging winds. Tbh I still think its to early to call when and where it may or may not snow.
Yep just a snap shot of the icon one model and subject to change but severe winds from northern England then travels south through Midlands later then southern England. Certainly an amber warning if it verifies

I'm keeping an eye out for the hires models in the next few days for windspeeds. Icon gone crazy with winds close to 90mph inland. This will be the story not transiant snow

Although the low will move around a little over the next few days so its difficult to pinpoint exactly the location which will be the sweet spot but winds now are really ramping up on some of the models Icon showing 100mph winds very very dangerous

18z run is ok but it is typical early winter fare on the ground at least off course it may develop into something better as the next days progress if and its a big if the colder weather does arrive its past 200hrs again. Think ill just watch the 12zs for the next few days see were we stand then.
