very light snow here, dusting on most things except the road, when is the main band ment to get here?

moderate to heavy blustery shower at the moment, been on and off all afternoon, but getting heavier gradually

snowing here, settling on most things, apart from the roads and pavements, not expecting much from this, but nice to watch

I'd like you all to meet my new arrival

Just got in after a looooooooong night, and i am proud to announce my wife gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, we have named him Noah, 8lb on the nose, she had a tough time as baby decided to wrap the cord around himself a couple of times, so forceps were needed, then she had to have a bit of minor surgery, but everyone is ok now, and i got to spend 1 1/2 hours with my newborn just me and him
time to catch some ZZZzzzzzzz's now, hope everyone has a great weekend, and that those in mourning and sorrow, find some peace and comfort, hopefully my good news will help them to feel a bit better

My thoughts are with those that are having a sad time, and if i may try to bring some happier news, my wife is in labour so hopefully in the next few hours i will become a father for the 2nd time
Just glad the weather has settled, almost like baby was waiting for it..........................

light snow here atm, funny that now we are on the cusp of some milder weather the usual suspect are out again in the MAD thread, trying to stamp out any charts with colder synoptics with their mild drivel!
anyhow, just thought i would take this chance to say thank you to everyone in this thread for the fun, laughter and general light heartedness over the last couple of months, i know i don't input much on here, but feel that this is the best regional thread on the forum.
I prob wont be around much over the next couple of weeks as baby is due anytime, (was ment to be here yesterday!) so will have my hands full.
thanks again and i hope you all get a very snowy end to the season

Well if freezing rain happens, it will be a new experiance for me, I guess once I see it, I'll never want to see it again though.
i have only ever seen freezing rain once, and it was leathal, we were in a taxi when it started and within seconds we were sliding all over the place, luckly we hadn't gone far from my house so we got out and walked (slipped) back home, scary but fun! lol

still snowing here, has been for a couple of hours, and according to the better half, most of the day too, but fairly light so not settleing, its amazing the difference a few meters make, was raining at work, 8 miles away, but snowing where i live!

had a nice covering here, just started to snow again, hope its not heavy otherwise the trip to work will be interesting!

heavy snizzle here now, if this turns out to be the end, im still happy, always like to see falling snow, although the missus informed me just now she is "feeling strange" hope thats not a sign of baby on its way, as i would like the snow to stop right now if it is! lol

Heavy snow in Ashford. What a waste though as so wet on the ground !
was soaked here too, but settling now, if it stays heavy then i guess it will settle there too

paths starting to cover now, and quite heavy and blustery

settleing on roofs, grass, fences and cars, roads and pavements ok so far

bigger flakes now, and very windy too, starting to settle on a few things, but looks far too wet for a decent covering at the moment

not stteling here yet, but getting heavier, thinking it'll end up as a slushy mess tbh, as long as the roads stay clear im happy

everything covered here, got about 20 yards from home and had to ditch the car lol, small flakes but lots of them and very gusty, is the worst yet to come or is this it?
