    thing is, the GFS had the breakdown for Wednesday a couple of days ago, its been pushed further and further back, alot can change in 6 days, not saying it wont happen, but could easly go the other way too

    honestly dont remember the last time we had a few snow events on the trot, seems to be in the past that we'd get a massive load of snow for one day and that was it, i love that its a few events over the course of a week, takes the boredom out of the week lol

    NO, stay safe, its not worth it, lose a day's money, or risk crashing your car, or worse, i cant afford to lose money but when i weigh it up, 1 day less or buy a new car, or end up in hospital for who knows how long, not trying to scare people, but thats how i view it EDIT: just pepped up again here, bigger flakes and heavier

    I will try, but the roads here dont get much TLC and its all hills and slopes, i jave a 10 mile journey and a 8 1/2 month pregnant wife, also its my last week at my current job, so not feeling like i should risk anything

    still going here, looks like still a bit more to come, roads very dodgy, and with the freeze overnight may be a struggle to get in tomorrow, will try, but not too hard lol

    This spell is due to the initial downwelling the full affects should show towards the end of the month

    Love the way the MOD thread, GFS shows a potential breakdown and the "usual suspects" start posting again! dosen't bother me, just find it funny how they have been quite latley...................

    bigger flakes, heavier now too, glad i got home (just) stupidly went my normal route, which includes some nasty hills, but made it, although slightly sideways lol

    I can honestly say i am guttted for those that have had no snow, i think we all know what it feels like when areas close to you have snow and you dont, fingers crossed for all the snowless people, keep the faith

    Steve, i think people NEED you to let them know what is showing, i really feel for the people in the East, i want them to get the snow! (also i want more too) always appreciate the time and effort you and JP, amongst others, put into your posts, keep up the excellent work

    seems to be getting heavier now, thought it was all over for now? sky looks laden with it, if only it would let it go! lol

    seems to have picked up a bit here, not alot, but more than 30 mins ago. expected more, but as i got some it better than nothing so i'll take it! lol

    been snowing since 9am here, although very very light now, shame really as the sky looks packed with it. Not sure about Sunday's forecast alot can go wrong, but fingers crossed eh? BTW is the worst still to come with regards to the SSW, from what i have read this cold spell is from the initial downwelling, the full affects to come towards the end of the month??

    yeah, im just woried as Crowborough's ASL is 240, so its a hilly ride home and also the height usually means more snow than surrounding areas, will take wellies and a big coat incase i need to walk at all! hope everyone enjoys the snow and stays safe

    OK, serious question, do i go to work this morning? start at 8am, snow due around 9am, from what i gather, my wife is 8 1/2 months pregnant, andi really donr want to get stuck!

    I was thinking this Steve, it seems the general movement is slowed and maybe ,(maybe) stalled as it bumps into the colder air, which to be fair, will be well and truly solid, but for the beeb to be on board at this time frame is quite rare! There's somethin' a brewin i tells ya! (although i still stand by my last comment, that things can change DRASTICALLY)
