London & South East Regional Discussion - January 15th 2013>
leemondo replied to Snowangel-MK's topic in Regional
After the downgrades for most of the SE this week, i'm trying to not get to excited..............................but is bloody hard not to, dont want to set myself up for a fall again, but i have to admit it does look promising, the trend for the undercut has been good, just where it hits, and how much snow falls is up in the air Also given the timeframe (T+72) its in the fairly reliable now, although i know these situations are subject to massive change in a short space of time Interesting times.................................... -
oooooooooooo just went to put the kettle on and looked out the window............snow! not much but its there and i'll take it! lol
-
On another note, i got a new job today! so really snow is bad for me, dont wanna have to phone in on the first day cos i can't get there! lol

It's a little hard not to be a bit downbeat, considering the SE was ment to do the best out of this ongoing cold spell, but it seems the closer we get the chances diminish and we end up with light flurries/sleet/cold rain. I remain optimistic about the rest of the week, but its looking mostly v cold and dry, anything white and fluffy will be a bonus, but as has been said before, this cold spell is nothing to do with the SSW, that comes into play towards the end of the month. Chin up everyone, its only the weather

Even though the MOD thread is an "Enter at your own risk" sort of place, it amazes me that there are a couple of posters, that read the charts sooooooo badly, and get shot down everytime, but they still allow them to post, i know its a forum and people are allowed to post what they "see" but surley some of the regular bad posters need culling? It just adds to the mass confusion for newbies, like myself, i feel like i have spammed the ignore button no end this wekend! lol

If we are all honest, this was likely to be a touch and go situation, after all the cold is only just starting, so therefore not entrenched, and any precip moving down to our area would mix out most of the cold we do have, having said that, the cold continues to push during the week so anything falling from the sky after tomorrow will surely be snow? We may be suprised in the morning, or be dissapointed, thats the way it is in UK, but i feel after Monday is when our best chances happen, in my personal situation, i dont want snow until my baby is born, but i want it so bad for the rest of you! I love snow but this is the first time in my 37 years i can remember not wanting it!

Kepp the faith peeps, expect nothing, then if we get nothing, no dissapointment, but if we do get snow then pleasantly suprised! if this shot doesn't amount to much, there is the rest of the week to look forward to

Added 2 people to the ignore list tonight! Really dont know why some people feel the need to try and bait others??? This forum is a fun and informative place (for the most part) and i feel really sorry for the ones that have nothing better to do with there lives, than to try to upset the atmosphere in here. To me, these people have no real interest in the weather, and just use this forum to enrich the sad lives they have by trying to make themselves feel better. OK rant over................... hope everyone (not ignored) gets the snow they want, fingers crossed for all

I think anyone worring about what the ecm is showing should remember what the gfs was showing 2days ago and what its showing now, i think its just a wobble as things higher up are causing chaos on the ground :-) -

I think it will snow, no charts to back it up, but i know, because for the 1st time in my entire life i dont want it too (well i do, but i really DON'T need it!) as my wife is due to have our ankle biter on the 12th of Feb, and i might be starting a new job, (if my second interview went well today), at the end of Jan, so there you go, it's nailed on! lol -
