  1. It seems that cold weather is on the way at the end of next week going by most of the models but all have there own diffrent solutions,on how it will pan out.I dont think people want to ramp it up just yet, incase it is a near miss.I am sure ther will be extreme ramping by midweek if all goes to plan
  2. Cold coming in bit earler on ecm, rather than gfs which drags its heels, keeping it up north.
  3. I am sure Steve M will be here with his 1p,2p 20p,50p snowflake build up plan, come the first snowfall
  4. Yes, fantastic week that was i am sure there was up to 2 feet in some parts or Kent. Hoping to pass 17 inch in the the garden from the 2010 winter, this winter
  5. Looking forward for the models to wakeup and smell the coffee, surley it cannot go on for much longer. There has been so many teases either from the North, East ,Greenland blocking.Hopfully the models have not got the full picture yet with all the stratopheric signals. I want my snow, a beast from the east 87
  6. http://cdn.nwstatic.co.uk/gfsimages/gfs.20121116/12/360/npsh500.png Wish some of this blocking into Greenland would start showing on earler frames times .Always teasing us.
  7. Maybe its the case that the models can not keep up with GPs expertise and with so many stratospheric projections going on,the models do give us some indications but cannot grasp the full picture.I wonder, maybe if it is because there will be so much unusual blocking patterns may set up.
  8. Sorry for mis leading anybody i ment to have low pressure in the med to prop up any easterly,if and when one may occur.
  9. The run up towards winter seems to be rolling along very well. The N/H at least is moving in the right direction,no bottled raging merry-go-round vortex.A well broken N/H,even showing in the next 5 days ,the only concern is the low heights in the med.not sure if that will be a hinderance for any easterly out break to take place
  10. As other posters have said, its nice to see a diffrent pattern forming from the very beginnings on N/H charts. You can see the bottled vortex over Greenland and even by day 5 you can see it displacing in sections Not sure how accurate that will be.Still,a good trend.Hoping that it will still be bottled up around Siberia as showing in Fl
  11. Lets hope the18z gfs has not been on the stella's tonight and a new trend on the way
  12. Looking further ahead for an easterly to set up,are we looking out for the block to the east to start moving west over the coming week and watch out for them fronts out of greenland or newfoundland to go on more of a direct southerly track over time, to get the undercut.I no its early days but is that the basics to look out for. thanks
  13. I thought the last frames or the the 18z looked more encouraging for TRENDS ,with a block pushing up and a block over Russia deflecting atlantic fronts futher north.Sorry, just a simple idea of how it looks
  14. From my untrained eye, going through the 12z gfs run from around 192 / 204 frame it looked like a easterly outbreak.Could that not be atrend,if the lows to the west are over played.
  15. Lets hope this is the start of things to come and the models are latching on to some cold signals.
  16. Looking forward to when the models play catch up and we start seeing some tasty looking setups. Which model will it be??
  17. Looking forward even more so to this coming winter, after reading Stewarts starter forcast. Hoping he is right about the cfs forcast for december, showing mild at the moment. But thinks that may change.Cold snowy december, fingers crossed.
  18. Still moderate snow in swanley, have not checked with the trusty ruler but lookes like 2cm on the fence.
  19. Not looked at the radar, there must be more out in the n sea or the front is futher east than what they thought.
  20. Well i have had my dusting told by the bbc and it keeps going.Who knows could be more out there for us.
  21. started snowing here in swanley, not bad size flakes, 20p size nearly.I wonder how long untill it stops?
  22. GFS charts may look nice but click on rainfull amounts, all out to the NW.Hope it moves SE.
  23. Just had a look at the NW radar and seems a cluster of small light showers entering Essex now,not sure if they might get more heavy latter in the night.
  24. Just depends on how much there is in the way of a breeze and direction from the east, direct east is good.Trouble is there incoming from the NE,still bbc had the odd shower to the west or London as the morning went on.Fingers crossed.
