    No fog in this bit of Middlesex yet, but the fox has frozen mid step. Might have to throw him a scrap to unfreeze his paw.

    chaos on the trains into Waterloo incase you are using those lines. Took me 1 hour 50 to go from Brentford to work in the city. Cloudy in the city, no laying snow here, but very cold indeed... Wrap up all...

    Here in the brentford massive we've got frost on the car and the grass is hard. I know as I took recycling to the car and the boot was a bit froze, and I put some scraps out for Foxie and didn't sink into the doodah pile he usually leaves behind. We've also got a bit of mist here in the field...

    Agree, it's very foolish. Some of that flood water is fast moving and contains sewage.

    Hi from brentford, hard to sleep! Fairly strong gusts now and again. Got a tree here with one solitary leaf left on it! Not for long! Stay safe all.. Sounds wild further south.

    Wind picking up here, can hear things creaking around the house. Might be a ghost of course!

    Dark wet day here so far. Very soggy fox in the garden mooching around. Got to fix the rose arch as it currently resembles leaning tower of Pisa. Don't think it will survive tonight's gusts.

    Torrential rain here in brentford west London. Still gusty , but the rain is v heavy. Heard a plane rumble in distance to heathrow, either that or it's thunder!

    Some substantial gusts of wind here now in west London. Was windy at a wharf earlier, flights in and out of city airport affected. Still going over to heathrow as of a few mins ago. Our gazebo is holding up. The fox is standing under it with his legs in the brace position !

    at C Wharf its been dark since about 1:30pm, really eerie looking outside, with a sort of green tinge. Hope when I get home to West London the gazebo hasnt joined the flight path to Heathrow.

    I think the visibility has got worse as the day has worn on ! I'm just off Fleet Street today, office looking towards St Pauls, which I can just about see, but cant see any of the other beautiful city buildings today. Will be dark soon (well, darker anyway!!).

    Hi all, in the city today - lots of mist around obscuring the tops of the scrapers. Cant see C wharf tower from here or the Gherkin! Happy Friday all... cheers

    Gutted am missing out on 8 December gathering, am in wales that weekend. Today here in the west its a bit Parkie. Was foggy here in the park first thing, and still a bit hazy now, but the sun is breaking through..

    Posting in the northern thread as we are currently at budle bay Northumberland. Last night was very chilly,but gave incredible clear skies and not much light pollution, compared to where I live! Saw so many stars and my boyfriend said he saw a shooting star or meteor. Said was very bright. Love the north and the people here. Newcastle tomorrow.

    Talking of traffic it has taken us 10 hours to go from west London to budle bay, just north of Alnwick Northumberland. The m1 had major accident. Was worst journey have ever come across. And then the a1m was blocked due to oil spill!!! It feels much colder here. A frost due tonight here. We passed some heavy rain on our way up. Have a good weekend all, From the lovely north...

    Here in the west it's v cold,,just went outside to clean the car, as we head up north next week to craster, anyway I could see my breath it was that cold!
