Tell me about it! Even brighter echo's from the band just to the south but it doesn't seem to be moving north very much -
Just noticed that, brighter echo's on the radar appearing as well.

And to rub salt into the wound my weather app says we have heavy snow right now lol, yeah ok then, there's zilch falling out of the sky right now!

Snowing out there now but small flakes and no sign of settling, just haven't b had any heavy precipitation all day.

Very light snow falling here for a while, tiny flakes though so just making the ground wet.

A non event here so far, not because it's been raining instead but we've had no heavy precipitation what so ever, got white splodges (lol) falling past the street light but it's hardly heavy enough to turn the ground wet!

Shouldn't be raining for long that's for sure, should see a quick transition to snow.

Well according to the radar we've had precipitation over head for ages but still nothing falling here!

Not yet but I'm looking out the window constantly to spot the first flakes of snow falling lol

Certainly looks like the front is moving slower, my met office app shows the snow starting at 8pm and carrying on right through till 7am tomorrow morning, 11 hours of snowfall!, if it plays out like that! Before the change it showed the snow starting around 4pm and stopping by 11pm. Can't see it taking til 8pm to arrive though, going by the radar anyway.

That's the best thing about marginal snow events, big snowflakes and it looks even more stunning if its still daylight where you look up at the clouds and see exactly that scene.

They get no sympathy from me, they usually get the snow so instead of us feeling it'll be them lol

Lol this is just like waiting for a bus, wait around for ages then 2 show up at once & after waiting all winter for a snow event they seem to be lining up.

I think at the very least we'll see falling snow, settling I'm not so sure but to be honest just seeing it fall will be great & I see the mid to long range is suddenly looking really good on the models, effects from the ssw finally showing up in the models perhaps.

An offshore wind and rain I don't think so, met office app showing snow from Thursday afternoon onwards, keep the faith!

100% sleety rain here now, white blobs confirmed lol Edit : & back to rain again.

Either I'm totally imagining it or it's turning a little bit sleety in the heavier bursts.
