Haha. Well here should be similar, my hill should be below freezing then which is good.
Fingers crossed for us! We’ve waited long enough ?

Studying the radar, it’s filling in in south Cheshire again like yesterday. Is this a true reflection? I still can’t believe how windy it is.

I’m atm 0.9c, after it getting to about 1.4c earlier, so it’s on the way down.

THat band looks so good. It just needs to shift and/or develop north!

SO have things changed with a posssibility of snow this evening? Noticed the band further south is filling in, and the sky is much greyer, although ice and snow is melting a bit with temps over 1c currently. The wind still hasn’t relented.

Look at the precipitation probability though......
If that’s 30-60% for each hour, then it should snow for around 6 hours of that period.

I thought it was getting a tiny bit less windy, then it decided ‘NO’.

Still blizzards here expected until 11pm tonight.
How much did you get?

Sky News weather showed a possible couple snow showers but the main snow was south or NE of us. Weirdly, our region currently has the most warnings than any other! ?

If it snowed now there'd be an emergency here more than there is.
Combined with the wind, it’d be awful. There wouldn’t be level snow, but huge drifts!

Just been out with the dogs. Really strong windchill. Awful.
i can’t see where any snow would come from today at all.

Metoffice have me practically snow all day at 60% risk every hour. I’m not convinced, unless the radar miraculously fills out.

Im not convinced its a thaw. Think the wind has something to do with it
I agree. Wind will have sent it flying! Most of it probably in the Irish Sea somewhere!

morning all. The wind was brutal last night and still is, our room is east facing so it’s had me up half the night. I even dreamt about the wind!

It’s -0.2c here, almost gone positive. Must be to do with the winds and drier air.

We have a warning of wind out starting at midnight, hope that doesn’t mean it gets worse at midnight
Looks like that’s exactly what is going to happen!
-
It’s just come out - 60-70 with up to 80 too midday tomorrow, so it looks like the Metoffice is expecting it to get worse

Spare a thought for a snow lover on a stretch of the coastal area of Dyfed and slightly inland around Aberystwyth at this moment. Then you would have something to complain about.
I see what you mean, a similar situation there.

ALl that precip forming in the Irish Sea and the evil rain shadow is being mean here.
-
Where was the rain reported?
-
Freezing rain up here? DPs are well below 0 still aren’t they?

I wouldn’t have thought December would provide as cold air? I remember an easterly right at the end of November once, and the temp struggled to get low, even though the sun was much weaker than now. Easterlies at this time of the year are perfect for cold air, but not good if sunshine is going to feature a lot. The opposite is true for December.
