  1. 17:37 O Clock 22.2C 54% relative humidity 1017mb, dropping Mostly cloudy.
  2. Yeah but that's relative humdity, so it's a straw man argument. A 13C dewpoint is hardly uncomfortable, unless maybe the air temperature is 27C plus at which the heat index comes into play. For goodness sake, if the dewpoint was -10C and the temperature -9C, it would also be "humid". Wouldn't be suprised if some of the penguins on this board found that "oppressive" either. Some here probably think a dewpoint of 15C and temperature of 16C = 28C heat index
  3. Yep it's totally pathetic. Overnight lows of 12-13C with highs of 25C "hot and humid", I mean places like southern Florida have hotter winters than that The weather presenters on the local radio also said 24C today is "very hot". I would say, 24C = warm. 34C = hot. 44C = very hot. AAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHH! As for "London's stifling heat", that gave a little laugh. Opening the window after the sun has set in his 29C furnace (LOL) south facing bedroom would allow the nice relatively cold 13C temps overnight to cool the room down a lot lower than 29C.
  4. Still 19.9C at 8:22PM, this is my kind o' evening.
  5. Yes the 12z is there on www.wetterzentrale.de.
  6. 22.4C now 17:40 after a high of 23.6.
  7. Oh feels nice and warm today, with a breeze. Now 20.4C after a low of 8.8C and I recon we could see 24C today.
  8. Still hot and humd, 13.3c with 64% humdity.
  9. Yes "depressions" because the air pressure is low. I'm just trying to hold a balanced view, that's it High pressure like today's weather with sun and comfortable temperatures is lovely and sure it would be nice for an outdoor concert too however that's not the only thing is it? Gardeners etc... need rain for the plants as you know (though there are such things as watering cans and hose pipes LOL) but let's just be balanced about it. All the weather we get here has its place so why worry about it. No point. If the summer does turn out to have a lot of Atlantic influence what are you going to do about it anyway?
  10. Quite a bit of cloud around late morning early afternoon however a warm day with a breeze and a max of 22.9C after a low of 9.2C. www.buxtonweather.co.uk recons it reached 24.7C but they seem to have over exposure to radiation problems IMO. I't didn't feel a warm as 25C.
  11. Nothing wrong with looking out for trends but the question is who said low pressure = miserable though? Why does low pressure/rain have to be seen as inherently "miserable"? "Cooler", or "wetter" is good enough. I said nothing about "no 12z". Somebody else said that. Edit: Acutally it's just on this website that the GFS based forecast hasn't updated since the 00Z. On the proper website for it www.wetterzentrale.de the 12z is all there.
  12. I haven't noticed any CAPE on the storm risk thing on this site for my area at all saturday-sunday but I'm assuming that's only measuring surface CAPE whereas this stuff is likely to be elevated and won't show up on there.
  13. Way out in fantasy land, of course. There's till no reason for people to get "negative" about a little bit of low pressure for a few days IMO. This ain't the Costa Del Sol.
  14. Good God it seems like I've tuned into "negative central" here on the forum, with tons of pointless pessimism flying around. From what I make of the models, dry and warm for the next three days, then some very thundery and showery weather next week and once again warm and humid temps sticking around for most areas. Looks very decent indeed. We need more rain anyway.
  15. Horrid, cold and wintry day here for 1st June, reaching only 13.1C under thick vapid cloud cover with incessant drizzle. I can only hope this isn't going to be the dominant theme this summer!

  17. Extremely cold and windy all day, with a pathetic high of 12.6C and 49mph gust.
  18. Mostly cloudy, cold and windy as pressure builds. 11.3C at 12:15pm.
  19. For the last time, what is going to cause it to be 8C on 1st June all day? It looks like an error.
  20. 1st June looks very anomalous then. Maxima of 8-10C being forecast in North Western areas. What?
  21. BUM. The last few showers have knocked us up to 16mm TODAY, and a monthly total of 21mm!
  22. Well today's persistent rain has knocked the total up to 14mm for May now.
  23. Just 2mm of rain here so far this month.
