  1. A pathetic miserable day to ruin the start to summer, like a big, slimy slug in the salad. Just 10.0C here, and overcast with drizzle, the two "main" types of weather in the UK.
  2. Back to normality, 13.6C here after a low of 9.5C. Mind you, at least I don't live in Castlebay, Isle of Barra.
  3. Reached 20.1C here after a low of 12.4C. My digital sensor reached 21.4C but is overexposed in certain situations.
  4. I sincerely believe that over the last few years thunderstorms have become less and less common or likely in the British Isles for whatever reason.
  5. Well it was 27.2C at 14:00 so that's highly unlikely. Anyway... a "cold" 20C here.
  6. 17.8C after a low of 12.4C.
  7. Got up to 26.6C here apparently, though was probably closer to 26C. Just to test the accuracy of my digital weather station, at 1:30PM I placed an accurate analogue thermometer we use to measure the indoor temp outside in a shady location and it went over 25C (from 21C indoors), so I don't think the 26C I recorded is inaccurate.
  8. Up to 23.8C here now. Possibly could hit 29C I reckon.
  9. It's already 19.9C here after a low of 12.3C. I think we could beat yesterday's 26.2C easily. I think much warmer temperatures than predicted could be possible because of how dry the ground is here (only 1mm of rain this month).
  10. Good God anyone would think we were living in the tropics. 14.2C here at twenty to two and nice it is too.
  11. Well unlike yesterday, whereby it stayed overcast all afternoon and only reached 21.8C, today was a lot better. Currently at 8:35PM: 19.4C The overnight low was 11.0C at 06:02. The maximum was 26.2C at 16:02.
  12. I am not using that website www.buxtonweather.co.uk because some of its readings are definitely over exposed. None the less my personal sensor reported a high of 26.2C here today (buxtonweather.co.uk said 27.9C - seems too high). Yesterdays figure of 31 was clearly wrong. I would say 26 isn't unreasonable given Manchester has managed 27C (it seems the elevation doesn't come into play as much in conditions like this).
  13. Buxton Derbs Well it's cooled down fast after reaching 31.8c yesterday. Now 13C.
  14. Disapointing day today. Reached 21.8C but then cloud has dominated all afternoon.
  15. Certainly it is here, it's reached 22C here, feels good.
  16. 18.4C after a low of 11.5C. Scattered clouds.
  17. In Buxton it reached a boiling-hot 16.8C after a low of 7.9C.
  18. Hit just 15.0C here today after a low of 3.0C. All the cloud held the temperature back, and it will tomorrow and thursday apparently.
  19. CLoudy and a lot colder than yesterday, only 14.4C here.
  20. BUXTON Derbyshire We reached 15.7C degrees here after a low of 5.1C degrees. Nice to know some hot weather is cumming.
  21. Buxton, Derbyshire 12:19PM 9.8C, 75% humidty. Extremely cold again, reporting from the arctic mountain climate of Buxton.
  22. That's funny, Nottingham Watnall only got up to 14.5C. Only a few places in the South East and lower East Anglia got near 18C. Nowhere in the Midlands above 16C. http://www.weatheron...x&SORT=2&INT=24 Buxton Derbyshire maximum temperature was just 12.8C today, not as good as yesterday.
  23. Buxton Derbyshire 13:48 11C, 66% humidity and overcast. Hardly much of an improvement.
