Snowing in Hemel Hempstead for 25 minutes. Covering quite nicely with temp -1 deg C. Gone from light to moderate. Will produce a decent cover if it continues at this rate for an hour or more.
I am 5 miles south of you and we have nothing at all.
-
Just sliding north west of here, damn if only this was heading directly south.
-
Still snow here, no covering I think the ground is too warm for it to settle. At least we are getting snow, unlike the last couple of years!
-
Anyone know what this band will do? peter out or gather strength?, I missed the most intense part by a few minutes.
-
Is this supposed to gather intensity as the night goes on? Murr Scale 3 here.

Snowing here but its not crazy snow yet.
-
I can see the edge of the clouds here, nothing here yet but I can see this stuff transitioning to the west soon... maybe.
-
We are on a high, this is why we keep coming back for more despite needing prozac and therapy most of the year haha.

Snow here in North Watford, sweet!
-
heavy ice pellets mixed with rain here about 15 minutes ago. Temp dropped 1c in 5 minutes.
-
Temperature dropped to 6.5c here after it was 9.4c at about 11:30am crazy temp drop, just wind here though it was quite intense at times but its quiet now.
-
Morning! Its cold out there this morning at 6am it was -6C, its now a moderate -5.1C.
All I can say is, lets hope that we get some snow but if we don't lets hope we get a hot summer filled with thunderstorms and sunshine (no drought though). -
Amarillo in Texas got over 12 inches of snow today...
Currently here though its -1.2C so... yeah...- 2

I am pretty sure they got snow in Northern France last night, why is the South-east always the sandwich filling and never the bread?
We had some sleet about 1am last night but other then that nothing, -
Look at that temperature about 5 miles from me -6.0C!!!

Cool that people are getting snow though, I swear Brighton gets the best of everything, Snow, Storms etc lmao -
If you guys are into space etc you should check out http://en.spaceengine.org
SpaceEngine - a free space simulation program that lets you explore the universe in three dimensions, from planet Earth to the most distant galaxies. Areas of the known universe are represented using actual astronomical data, while regions uncharted by astronomy are generated procedurally. Millions of galaxies, trillions of stars, countless planets - all available for exploration. You can land any planet, moon or asteroid and watch alien landscapes and celestial phenomena. You can even pilot starships and atmospheric shuttles.
I currently hold the biggest star found to date on this software! 15.993 AU (1.48664223 × 109 miles [what ever that number means?] our sun is 432,450 miles across or 0.0046491 AU)
Plus heres some other screen shots from inside the software, all generated inside the game with no editing.- 2

Temperature bottomed out at -2.5c here but is currently rising due to the cloud, dew point of -5c though.
I try not to get my hopes up but it happens every year in Summer and in Winter, 2014 was a good year for storms and heat, we had 3 big storms all within 2 days in mid-September, one went on for 3+ hours, plus we also got about 5 night time storms one of which had a really nice shelf cloud, the summer was really nice and warm for a change with some decent periods of sunshine and warmth. Lets start the year off with a huge snowfall? lets say 10-12inches? maybe 1.5ft?? -
Mix of rain and snow right now but most of the ppn is in the channel, everything is wet outside and not white. Maybe we will get a bit more by the morning but the precip is fleeting.
-
Im seeing the rain coming from the west has a mixture of Snow and rain right now on the netweather radar.

Had some snow earlier so I cannot complain, lets hope everyone gets some tonight. -
We had snow here this morning, I didn't get to see it as I was locked away in a warehouse with artificial lighting... but there are still pockets of snow laying around where the sun didn't evaporate it.
For tonight I feel like I am in a relatively ok position being so close to the Chilterns, not going to get my hopes up though. -
my sister and I used to do rain dances in the garden when we were younger, we actually thought it worked as well. (it was in April so it was bound to rain haha) Maybe if we all go outside and do a snow dance we would get snow?
-
I heard the squall come through about 3am here last night, it wasn't anything of note, all of last night wasn't very noteworthy around here, we had stronger winds on the weekend and we also had stronger winds this afternoon then last night.

The outputs are almost too good to be true
Some of the best charts I have seen for a good few years to say the least, could they get even better? I'm not so sure, I think they can only downgrade but let's not worry about that for a couple of days yet
Key Points to watch over the next couple days:-
1. Steve M gets excited
2. Ian F gives the green light
3. The outputs keep it steady till we get to the reliable
4. Bargain stores and Petrol Garages start to take the snow shovels off Sale and put back to full price with an increase of 25% along with sledges
5. Snow Grips and Snow Chains are seen on deal of the day on a well know auction site
6. The Supermarkets start to run out of bread after everyone watches Countryfile
Reminds me of the 'Beast from the East' in 2013, everyone was super hyped and I even travelled to my families home here in Watford from Southampton just too see it but nothing came of it.

I can see the odd flake drifting past the lamp post, so close yet so far.
