  1. Just started to get a little gusty here but nothing exceptional, it hasn't even set my door knocker off yet, so gusts must be under 30mph. It has been raining for a while though.

Yeah I have had nothing of note yet either, when it gets windy the hob extractor starts creaking like you are on a ship in high seas. Its not even creaking yet.

  2. Well its not a dog it is a kitty cat :p

Not a huge fan of dogs after being "hauled" by one just passing through a caravan site alone aged 12 fortunately I jogged it and escaped in one piece, left with some bruises and bite marks, did shake me up.

    See the resemblance?

Hmm nope but a close friend has that breed. :)

I feel your pain, I was attacked by a dog as well, but I couldnt run as it was on top of me in a house. It was a big American Akita but luckily I was able to keep its head away from mine but my hands and forearms didn't fair as well and I had to have a fair few stitches, I have nerve damage in my right hand and still have the scars to this day. I still love dogs though but it took time to be comfortable around them again, I have two cross breed GSP/English Pointers, and recently one of them broke my nose as they are very hyper when its play time. haha.

Currently 7.4c here, I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed with the recent updates, its a shame we struggle to get cold temperatures in our neck of the woods, my sister is currently in Switzerland visiting her husbands family, looks good for snow there right now.

  3. Your dog head butted you! :shok: What did you do to your dog to make it do that to you? Did you end up in Watford General?Hope you don't need surgery again! Oh the weather...........err.... was sunnny 14c!

Haha, yeah I have two dogs they are cross breed but I dont know what breeds they are but they look like German Pointers but are smaller, one of my dogs dropped the toy in front of me and I bent down to get it and one of them tagged me in the face as I was picking it up, they just get so excited, they do this weird play fight where they get on their hind legs like bears. No I didn't go to A&E, my nose is still straight so I rang my sister and she checked me over (shes a nurse) and it didn't look that bad. The last time I was living in Southampton, I had to wait 4 and a half hours just to be told I needed to ring ENT to book an appointment to see if I needed surgery, it was so frustrating waiting all that time for a 5 minute check up.

Ahh the Clio V6 255, one of my favourite cars when I was younger along with the Escort RS Cosworth! I think the Clio could have used 4wd because it hates corners and wants to kill you when it rains.

It was frosty here this morning not sure what the temperature got down to but it was pretty low as the shadows in my garden are still showing 5c (the ones in shade all day).

  5. Um, so when are you planning to move to Ulan Bator for a snow fix?

Still too blody muggy here this evening.

Yeah...... No thanks lol I wouldn't mind moving to the Northern United States or Southern Canada though, Winnipeg and Minneapolis look like nice areas.

If I could make it colder in the winter here I would, but unless I want to move a couple trillion tons of earth/sand/concrete etc to fill in the Atlantic for a couple hundred miles west that's not going to happen.

  6. I am getting a bit tired of this constant warm weather, towards the end of September I start getting into winter mode, by November I really want it to start getting cold, I love summer but I also love the cold too! Obviously that never happens in our neck of the UK as we are pretty much stuck with double digits for the winter months. A few weeks or a couple of months with a CET of -X would be nice, I would prefer -5c maximum temperature during the day with regular dips below -15c at night, those temperatures wouldn't normally be at amiss with with our latitude as some of the coldest cities in the world lie around the 45th to the 55th parallel north (most notably Ulan Bator which is the coldest capital city in the world which lies on the 47th parallel north and regularly sees temperatures in the winter drop to -40c, London is at the 51st parallel north), I wouldn't want it that cold but a bit more temperature variation wouldn't go amiss.

  7. For anyone who hasn't seen it in the convective thread here is the other nights storm, I could see lightning and hear thunder from about 4am to 6:30am, most of the time I could not see where the lightning was coming from as visibility was soo poor, I am guessing it was elevated.

Probably the longest lasting storm I have seen for a good 10 years, was totally insane and unexpected, yet today it was pretty cold, thank you England for being so strange weather wise.
