  2. 'supposedly' live feed from Tomorrowland Festival, might see some lightning on that? even better for me as I like the music haha. just as I post this the feed cuts out? lost power maybe?
  3. So wish I was at TomorrowlandFestival in Belgium with that corker heading towards them,Time to jump ship and move out of the UK I think?
  4. Nice whilst it lasted but to be honest its moving out of here quickly I think its going to be a sporadic lightning and nothing more now.
  5. Lightning is very strange as its very strobe like, never seen anything like it.
  6. Just had a heavy downpor with a coupleof flashes of lightn ing and some thunder. The lightning is very strobe like, instead of the usual one flash and done.
  7. Really dark clouds and raining moderatley, no thunder in Watford.
  8. anyone else notice the lightning is getting more and more east as it moves closer?
  9. So with that MCS firing up so early will another fire up behind it? or is that one meant to hit us because by the looks of it its moving east/ne.
  10. Man I wish I had gone to Tomorrowland festival in Boom, Belgium now (What a name Boom it will go tomorrow as well)! Level 3 out for NE France, Belgium and Southern Netherlands. Some tents will be a rocking tomorrow night if you know what I mean!
  11. The ones that slip by Kent should be called 'Kent Slippers', good night for people who love storms on the ships as those storms are following the main shipping paths.Strange how things change really as when I was a kid I used to be absolutly terrified of storms, even the mention of a thunderstorm and I would be panicking, now I absolutely love them although at night I still get a little bit nervous.
  12. A hot air ballon just flew over here, it was multicoloured and had happy birthday written on the side of it. pretty cool. You don't often see them round these parts because of elstree and heathrow.
  13. Well im already ruling myself out of this one, earlier this week all the ingredients were there but I got nothing. Good luck to everyone else because im pretty sure im not going to get anything electrical. We could use the rain though, its like a desert out there.
  14. Minneapolis, Minnesota: Hot summers and very cold winters, with snowstorms and thunderstorms common events. This is definatley the place id love to live. If I could move there tomorrow I would!
  15. Estofex has the SE in a level 1, this is an extended forecast so its likely to change later today.I think its 50% forecasting and 50% luck to be honest, forecasting for the knowledge that there could be storms and luck if one actually hits you. Unfortunatley for me luck wasn't on my side the other night but the forecasting was right. Somebody said that the GFS had the cape and li splitting over them but in fairness for my area I had high cape levels and didn't get anything within 5 to 10 miles of my house. Its frustrating when you don't get anything though, especially when you can see and hear it but not quite be in it. Nothing is garanteed until it actually happens.
  16. Heres a weird one for you lot, apparently this is ice crystals being alligned by the electrical field of the thunderstorm?
  17. just went for a little walk round the back garden after the rain and saw about 20 snails! no slugs though so that means the frogs are kind of doing there job.lt looks dark to the SW not seeing any lightning I think any lightning will be at a push, nice heavy precip forming infront of the main part though.
  18. Something that I have observed is my tap water is at its highest temperature for a long time, normally the water doesn't go above 12c but its at a balmy 19.4c right now. Lowest temperature was during the cold spell and it got down to a chilly 5.8c which was like drinking it straight out of the the fridge.
  19. We have had nothing but some rain here, quite heavy at 4pm. A storm was brewing to my south west at 1:30pm ish but it split in two and stopped producing thunder as it passed but then carried on producing thunder as it was a few miles away. Last night I could see lightning from about 11:30pm to about 5:30am and could hear low growls of thunder yet nothing got within 5 to 10 miles of here. At one point at around 4am I could see lightning to my south west over Slough way which got me excited but that too died before it got here. Aparently Watford and the surrounding area has a good storm sheild, that or Jesus lives near here and he apparently doesn't like thunderstorms.

  21. Anyone west of the line forming from the SE to the NW I think thats it for us now.
  22. I think I will give up this 'hobbie/torture' and find myself a new one something that can be garanteed, stamp collecting maybe? lol
