  1. A bit diffuse worth a look though. 03.10 25-6-22
  2. I was watching a brumcam NLC video on pootube the other day, and watched the ASTRUM video linked above about NLCs. I thought perhaps all the rockets, that have deployed satellites over the last few decades may of increased the seeding of NLCs.
  3. The evening might be the most likely time for storms to develop from the mid-levels, say 7-9pm. Don't really expect anything locally.
  4. Flensburg doesn't look as prolific as last night ATM.
  5. Seems to be some on Flensburg now. Flensburg / Blick nach Norden - Foto-Webcam.eu WWW.FOTO-WEBCAM.EU Webcam Flensburg / Blick nach Norden
  6. This scenario seems likely- Storms initiate over Kent/Sussex and we export them to the continent.
  7. This from Norfolk early hours of the 15th NLCS SPACEWEATHERGALLERY.COM
  8. Quite a good display, first NCL I've seen of this season hereabouts.
  9. Do you have a link for that cam please? Ok I found it lol https://www.foto-webcam.eu/webcam/flensburg/
  10. Your profile pic looked familiar, but your name looked too long
  11. Depends on the ambient light, focal length etc. Just try not too overexpose the clouds.
  12. The Norfolk Storms PXL_20220608_205452932~2.mp4 PXL_20220608_205807766~2.mp4 PXL_20220608_210728317~2.mp4 PXL_20220608_211317516~2.mp4
  13. Sky looks rather dry and capped, but a storm in Kent recently. Well scattered/isolated convection this evening.
  14. I'm not familiar with that area, but obviously any place that gives good views all around is best. As these are mostly pulse storms, it's pot luck if anything develops locally.
  15. I'd stay local and find an area with clear views of the sky. Or perhaps go slightly further west onto the A28 Kent Downs for good viewing. After 2pm should see convection in your area.
  16. I have a fairly heavy tripod an old Velbon D700 video model I used for filming railways yrs ago. I've used it for about 24 yrs, It weighs about 4kg but it's ideal for a steady base. It's a trade off between weight and sturdiness. Usually I don't have to carry it too far. There are loads of good tripods around. A light flimsy tripod is useless.
  17. Indeed, but low fractus cloud often arrives about dusk from the North sea, to hide any lightning. Although that is mostly for eastern areas, perhaps the south coast is slightly less prone. I've just been out in the garden and the fractus clouds are already here, so that is not good for later.
