  1. That last one is a particular stunner NS!
  2. Sparkly snizzle here just now. Looks like this weak front is moving NW-SE and pepping-up maybe.
  3. Blyth Bridge to Broughton this evening stunning in the car headlights. White blanket either side of a sometimes slippery A Road. Home to a level 3cm. Winter at last.
  4. Snowed around midnight at home to give a level 1cm. Crunchy start to day reversing out the drive and straight into a beech hedge... That's what happens when it's the first snow of the season and I'd forgotten how to cope At work now but looks like lots of stuff falling at home and even in Edinburgh city centre it snowed around 10.30am. Profile signature to be adjusted....
  5. XC quoting me 9cm. We shall see - first of the season if, if, it isn't a 'sleety mix'.
  6. Margaret who drives the Tesco delivery van says there's half an inch at Wanlockhead and it was spitting snow between Carnwath and Biggar.
  7. Under the lightest shade of pink on the radar but can't see anything falling or blowing about having just been out to the chicken coop. Time for my snowy avatar I think as a celebration of the potential this evening of seeing something frozen fall oot the sky.
  8. Looking like various 12/24/36 hour duration periods of cold zonality from the NW from Tues next week.... Remember January last year anybody?!
  9. I thought a weather-related photo was needed and panicked. Grey in North Edinburgh. But very windy.
  10. The new thread for our chatter and musings. I figured it might cheer us up in this grey depressing weather if we think of it like a freshly-made bed.
  11. A fresh thread to usher-in 2019 and all that our weather might bring.
  12. Ha ha. It's a purveyor of a delicious sausage, bean and cheese pastie. GREY GREY GREY
  13. Gardening all afternoon with a wee fire to dispose of the raspberry canes. Greg and only small bursts of wind - but it did blow the smoke to every point of 360° in the three hours.
  14. The Meto extended outlook is still optimistic too: https://www.netweather.tv/forum/topic/75951-met-office-16-to-30-day-outlook/?do=findComment&comment=3947600
  15. Met Office 16-30 day outlook being discussed here: https://www.netweather.tv/forum/topic/75951-met-office-16-to-30-day-outlook/?page=106
  16. -6C on the drive in today in on the A701. Fog in the valleys and sunrise good enough for a master water colour.
