  1. Saturday evening walking the puppy: Ended up quite a decent day. Sunday AM much the same and then heavy rain Sunday from 1pm. 12 miles away in Peebles was however much more pleasant...
  2. 5.0C on the car display in torrential driving rain round the Pentlands this morning at 7am. Loving summer
  3. Oh yes. Have been gripped for the five weeks. 9.7 on IMDB - highest recorded. Truly harrowing, depressing, just awful. The music used for the reactor in the first two episodes is astonishing.
  4. I'm going to run out of box sets at this rate....
  5. Much better day than was promised on some forecast sites/phones. 17.7°C which we haven't reached for a while. Greenhouse window open. Heavy rain from 4pm....
  6. Here's Finn looking north to the brightness and even blue sky Edinburgh way this evening - with a pang of jealousy. High in the forrest on the road out of Skirling.
  7. Chilly night at -0.2C. Hope my wee flowering plants aren't affected too much - only did the hanging baskets on Sunday.
  8. 27 hours of varying degrees of rain now passed, and the sun is oot. Very gusty earlier - much more so than forecast.
  9. Lovely evening. 16.1°C max here. Perfect.
  10. I stayed in that hotel next to Peterhead power station once. A time I try to forget.
  11. Ooooo - will keep an eye out tonight. Not seen one yet - was 7 May last year. Here's the bluebells in full bloom at the weekend:
  12. Lovely day. Grass cut, sun tan topped up, small wasps nests destroyed. 16.4°C whilst -1.2°C at dawn.
  13. Almost spring-like mid afternoon. Same double figure barrier broken at 10.4°C and calm.conditions. Grass needing its first haircut I am conceding to the other half....
  14. At 3°C over lunchtime that band of ppn was icy sleet here. Was supposed to be oot in the garden!
  15. Sat am -2.0°C Sun am 0.4°C Still not safe to stock the greenhouse.
  16. Brought the potted tomatoes in as it's down to only 5.8°C already. A few nights in the window of the front bedroom will keep them warm.
  17. Much the same here. True cracker. My wee puppy is a!l jagged and ready to go so suddenly properly exploring the countryside where I live.
  18. Well that was a lively hail shower. Quite pleasant in the sunshine otherwise.
  19. Absolutely stunning down by the Tweed at Crownhead Bridge opposite Dawyck Botanical Gardens:
  20. Yes @ciel and @Hairy Celt orange tips abound! Today appears to be all about little black poo flies... Had a drunken evening in Peebles yesterday and spotted from the 1am taxi home there was a stunning double moondog https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_dog Have seen many sundogs over the years but this was a first for me.
  21. Not seen a single ladybird here HC. Have seen a big fat hare, a brace of pheasants and several anthocharis cardamines - beauties.
  22. Up to 18.9°C and car aircon in full working order!
  23. Took my wee puppy, Fingal, on his first ever walk outside of our garden earlier. Tweed running !ow, forest very dry. And here he is earlier in the week:
  24. Between -2 and -4°C every morning since Tuesday. Proper frosty. Beautiful daytimes.
  25. I dislike anything that comes with a temperature greater than 19°C.
