I live opposite the hansom cab pub  just off ken high street    nice enough   although as you say very snooty in areas.  I spend most of my time in Earls Court  not quite so posh  and actually quite a community vibe    Next few years may think of buying a boat to live on  maybe in chelsea harbour   or move back to Dudley.  Then again 🤣

Dudley canal no2 is closer to the Molineux.....You southern softy😂👍

    Just an Observation
I have been trying to associate sightings/ non-sightings to the NOAA-21 plots for most of the season, by using the 5 day full rotation/clock face method.

Admittedly half heartedly due to the constant fluctuation of the cloud mass this season, also the hit and miss availability of the day to day NOAA-21 plots.

The last couple of nights/mornings non-shows (apart from a very low sighting from Scotland and sightings from the high latitude countries)

This had me searching the latest plot for an area of clouds which were closer to the a pole, back to the 70° latitude area`s

The latest available plot is from Tue 18th

  3. With last night and tonight being at that stage of the 5 day full rotation, which has been contant for giving displays over the UK.

NOAA is still showing a fluctuating mass, although this latest image are showing 'arms' of clouds down to the 60° Lat, in the relevant areas for the UK

With a clearer night/ morning forecast & OSWIN showing earlier in the formation zone.

I cant help feeling positive about the chances of a display over night😉

didnt see anything over rewa last evening, lindenburg is down, flenny was rather cloudy when i looked. found no sign on any clear webcam.. so its interesting that these showed up.. maybe i didnt give other sites a chance...

Pretty sure that they was over the uk from the off.

After Sprites heads-up, I found them on the Aberdeen cam before midnight, so it was a nice surprise to see they were still there when the gaps in the clouds finally started to appear

The only things i saw on the euro cams was some corking lightning strikes

Arnie.... how much longer is it realistically possible to see NLCs ?

I've captured them before in early August 2020, although I had a clue because we could tell by the AIM image that they were still 'up there'

Being a Solar max season and with the Sun being particularly active atm, I would be surprised to see them so late in the season.

Having said that, from experience, they cant be second guessed🙂

I`ll still be on the look out though🙃
