Southerly orientated meridional velocity since about 12 UTC in the mesosphere does make it more conducive for NLC formation
Similar signals and plots i have observed for the last few full rotations, maybe with the signals starting a little earlier

OSWIN has joined the rotation party late on, with some strong echoes in the formation zone
Edit; Amber alert for Aroura tonight

Hard to believe atm
According to the latest models from UKV and the MET there could be some gapage in the cloud cover for this evening/early morning.
Worth mentioning, as its the next full rotation of the NLC`s that has given a sighting over the UK for the last 7 rotations. With the mass still fluctuating, from the available data, nothing can be guaranteed

Me also.
but with no official sightings over the UK as to yet, it really goes to show there`s no second guessing these pesky clouds

With the displays in Europe being so close, I have to believe that

The Hinckley Hail Hammer..
El Brumo the worst named storm ever in this forum, pened by AJ if memory serves me right
20 mins of intensity, before i watched it disappear towards Leicester. It also crashed Brumcam v1.0 -

Did you chase on June 28th 2012? I didn't even have a car at the time so I couldn't, but that day sticks in my mind as the absolute benchmark for UK Storms.
El Brumo I believe

Just coming to the end of N twilight and as expected the display has got fainter, but still can be seen
if it stays clear then i would expect them to re-ignite sometime around 2.30- 3.00

Use the pro mode and then manual focus (0.7/0.8 ish) , 4-8 second shutter speed, low ISO around 50-64, usually very good. I also let it produce photos in RAW then edit with google photos and looks really good.
Yer that as well
