  1. Well it is raining here very light drizzly stuff but enough to wet the ground.
  2. Every time I see that I just think of the name oh and drought continues here but looks like rain on Thursday with a front.
  3. Hard to believe that was 9 years ago, remember it like it was yesterday a truly terrifying day and that was watching it on a computer screen so can only imagine what the people went through.
  4. Yes, and that cell in the north it shows later on today looks interesting there is some shear and vorticity associated with it also has a slight hook appearance of course whether it materialises or not remains to be seen.
  5. Line of cells to the north of Brigg, some had white cores. Likely the front starting to interact with that localised instability. Might actually be that trough
  6. Precip next 36 and 72 hours I might get a mm if I’m lucky
  7. Looking at wrf nmm and fax charts looks like a very localised area of CAPE and instability so quite a low thunder risk as it looked a few days ago, picking an area perhaps somewhere like Brigg down towards Market Rasen but a low risk.
  8. Amazing what difference a short distance makes, has been a lovely cloudless day here though still slightly cooler especially when a bit of a breeze appears.
  9. Some rain probably much needed for quite a few over the next few days doesn’t look like much here though. 36 hours 72 hours
  10. What is frost? WWW.METOFFICE.GOV.UK Frost occurs when the temperature of the air in contact with the ground is below the freezing-point of water (‘ground frost’ or ‘air frost’, respectively). “Air frost An air frost occurs when the air temperature falls to or below the freezing point of water. An air frost is usually defined as the air temperature being below freezing point of water at a height of at least one metre above the ground.”
  11. Having a look at the wrf nmm nothing really jumping out though some precip shown moving NW-SE looks to be due to that trough but CAPE values don’t suggest thundery to me ATM.
