    @Mr Frost This year is slacking in terms of convective / thunder I had my first thunder on 4th April last year I seriously doubt I will get anywhere near as much as last year but the main month here is usually July so plenty time. Can’t see where any rainfall is going to come from in the near future for us though with this Scandinavia high. Even with the easterly we have been doing well here for sunny days.

    Well I am quite pleased how my virtual target area of Eastbourne and areas a bit to the north of there turned out last night. Looks like France still active over the next few days but minimal risk in uk looking at short range models.

    I was just highlighting that Eastbourne and areas a bit to the north is my virtual target zone I rarely follow bbc / met office forecasts it was purely out of interest but the agreement is there so better than nothing.

    Looking at the wrf nmm I would say a chance for Eastbourne and slightly further north later tonight looks like chance of elevated cells moving in. Possibly associated with a trough. Don’t think this will be far off also an unintentional rhyme there
