    Morning all. Its sizzling out there already today, thats going to make for a short walk for me during my lunch break. Air-con on in the office and its a nice cool 19c. Have a good day all, and enjoy the weather.

    It's going to be a very close one tonight. Laying in bed now with the windows open, and its stifling. Need to be up early for work tomorrow, looks and feels like I will be tired in the morning.....

    Evening all. What a cracking weekend. Been really busy enjoying the sun and family days out. If only the weather could produce the goods like this every weekend in the summer.... Hope you all had a cracking one ðŸ‘. Looking at the met office app on my phone, it looks like its here to stay, for the next 5 days atleast 🌞😃

    That's my lot. Work finished for another week. Now sitting in a beer garden drinking nectar from the gods.... The first crisp cold beer is always the best in my opinion. Have a great evening everyone ( and don't work to hard Tom 😉) Also, please excuse any silly posts which my tipsey fingers maybe post after 4 or so pints. Haha

    Very grey and cool start today. Which was not to much of a bad thing as it was my son's reception class sports day. He won the egg and spoon race, so was really happy :-) The cloud has almost completely broken here now, and I can start to feel some decent heat. Roll on 4pm the beer garden is awaiting...

    Evening all. Been a really nice day here today - but I'm really looking forward to the warm up tomorrow and the weekend. It was really funny tonight. My son has had a wobbly milk tooth for about 6 weeks now, and he keeps asking when will it fall out. So I said eat this raw carrot, but bite down hard. He did that, and hey presto this tooth came out. So my wife said if your good the tooth fairy may come and pay you a visit when your asleep, and leave you a little gift... My sons reply "is a mini iPad a small gift" we really laughed.... When I was a child, £1 was great... Kids and technology, I wouldn't mind to much but he is only 5 (coming on 16 😉) 😃

    Thats women for you mate. Haha (sorry if I have offended any women on here hehe) my wife's the same, I never tell here about the bonuses I get in work, it goes in and I sift it into another account, otherwise she will have another 15 pairs of shoes to go with the collection of about 50 already 😄

    Evening all. Well the cloud had well and truly broken again by 5, so I had a nice sunny commute home. There is a nice breeze blowing now, and in the stronger gusts (if you can call it that) if feels quite cool. Anyway after Steve C's post earlier on, on his almost marathon walk, I decided to stop wimping out of running (because of the heat) and put rubber to pavement. I done 7k in 35 mins which is one of my better times 😀. But unlike Steve, I didn't even think of replenishing my body of the sugar and salt lost by having a pot noodle...... Instead I headed to the fridge to take all the sugar nutrients out of an ice cold bottle of beer 😉. Have a great evening people... And I hope your cramp has eased now Steve ðŸ‘

    That is so true..... I bought him a little well done present on the way home from work, nothing major or expensive but the look of happiness on his face was enough for me. After that he kept coming up to me and my wife saying "So are you still really proud Mummy and Daddy"..... Only children can bring that kind of deep true happiness 😀

    Evening all. Another glorious day and now evening. Sitting in the garden with Mrs LeighD, having a little tipple and reading though our sons first ever school report, and it is really good. We are two happy parents sitting in the summer warmth really proud of our son.... Laters peeps ðŸ‘

    Afternoon all. Managed to get out of my concrete box of an office, for a really nice walk at lunch. The skies were still clear, and it felt very warm. The only downside was that on the way back I decided to take a short cut across a cricket field, at which point the bloody groundsman decided to put the field sprinklers on....needless to say, I got a bit wet, but atleast it cooled me down and I can see the funny side now...😄

    Morning all. Another stunning start to the day here. Going by the forecasts I have seen, it looks like the sun is here to stay for a while :-) Only downside to today is that I have been relocated to a new office with no windows.... Looks like I will have to wait until lunch to see the sun. Have a good one all....

    Fully agree with that. When my youngest son was born a few years back in May, we decided not to go on holiday (we like the Med and Portugal) because of the heat. So we decided to stay at home and go out for days during our usual 2 week August holiday. I think we spent almost spent as much as we would on a summer holiday abroad.... With the cost of fuel, entrance tickets and food it really adds up before the fun has even started. 🌞
