    I am sure there will be plenty of warm nice settled spells still to come. My son will be 6 on the 15th October, and all 5 of his previous birthdays, it has been warm enough for me to wear shorts and flip flops! Hope this does not spoil the 6th one 😉 I guess straw clutching for warmth comes mid October, as went the clocks go back, there is plenty of darkness to cool the temps down.... Equally you could pray for an Indian Summer 😀

    Evening all. Well it's been an often cloudy day here today, but felt very muggy. This evening has brightened things up, and we now have a light pink sunset sky. I'm hoping for a clear sky tonight, as I want to do some star gazing, which will help me relax for my exam in London tomorrow. Good evening all....ðŸ‘

    Morning all - Hope all is well... Well Im back from my two week holiday in Portugal - Which was fantastic. We had 13.5 days of blue skies and temps reaching the dizzy hights of 35c, the other half day was a thunderstorm, which was equally welcomed and great to see. Back to work today, but the weather is not to shabby... Nice blue skies and a current temp of 18c Have a good one all

    Afternoon all. Just finished work for 2 weeks 😊. Been a very overcast day here. Not too much in the way of rain, but very muggy. Clouds starting to break now, so hopefully will make for a nice evening. Anyway I'm off to a hopefully sunny and hot Portugal, so on that note I bid you all a fond fairwell, be lucky and I will catchup with you all in September.... 😊

    Evening all. It's been a dull breezy and sticky day here today. As soon as I went out for my run tonight around 6.30, the clouds broke and had bright sunshine. Still have perfectly clear skies here now. I'm hoping for a cooler night, but after seeing the BBC weather forecast looks like another sticky one. Might have to kick Mrs LeighD into the spare room tonight, so I can have the windows open..... I know what the reply will be though 'sleep in the garden, if you want fresh air' ha. Good evening all...

    Clear skies here now. Feels a lot warmer than the last few nights. 17c here currently. Was luckily enough to see the International Space Station at 9.25 tonight....

    I have bad memories of horses. I was out running on holiday in Devon last year. I got lost, and ended up in a field of horses.... Nuff said, I stay well clear now. But my little children love them, so I have to brave and help the kids feed them.... 😕

    Your brave Jax. I think I would leave them for the horses. Enjoy mate. We actually went out 2 weeks ago, and managed to fill the equivent of a big shopping bag with cherries. We've had a few nice cherry pies for desert since. 😊

    Hi mate. Just got back home. Saw 3 meteors, so well happy. Not sure if you have any apple devises but I downloaded an app called night sky. Only 69p, but it maps out the sky for you and names all the stars etc when you point your device at it. Whispy cloud here now, so I'm gonna call it a night. Cheers for the heads up though 👠good night all....

    Right it's pitch black outside, and the skies are clear. I'm off out to see some meteors hopefully. If I see any and can get a good photo, I will share it with you all.... Goodnight peeps.

    Evening guys & girls. Quite a chilly evening here, but clearing skies now, which bodes well for meteor watching later.... Was meant to go out last night, but fell asleep on the sofa😧. Have a great holiday MK.... Only 5 more sleep to mine yippppeeee.

    I love that smell. It reminds me of when I was a child, and my dad was starting to light the bonfire for GuyFawlks night. We was all wrapped up with my mum bring out hot drinks, and snacks... It felt magical. I can't wait to create that with my children 😊

    We have 19c here, but with a brisk wnw breeze, it feels markedly cooler. The cloud is starting to break here also! Does anyone what time to start looking for the Perseid?

    Evening all. Been a pretty much standard summers week here. We've had cloud, rain, sun, wind and varying temps.... But after looking at the weather forecast on this great website, I'm pleased to say the weather in Portugal is HOT HOT HOT... 8 days and counting. Then two weeks of summer bliss, then the eagerly waited countdown to winter 😃

    A non descript start to the day here so far. High level cloud, but very bright. Temp of 21c at the moment.

    A glorious afternoon and evening here, after all the excitement of this morning 😊. Got a temp of 22c and partly cloudy skies now. But the best part of the day today, was seeing my little boys and wife after their 5 day trip to Great Yarmouth 😊 You don't know what you've got until its gone sometimes. But I've mine back now and I'm a very happy LeighD. Good evening all.... Must stop posting now or Mrs LeighD will get the hump...and I don't wont that tonight ðŸ˜

    All stopped now, in the last hour. Great while it lasted though :-) Just have slate grey, and patches of lighter grey skies now, with a temp of a cool but comfortable 19c.

    Morning all - Cracking start to the day here, and I actually mean Cracking. Woke up at 6am to bright blue skies, and sunshine. Thought 6am was to early, so went back to bed... Since about 7am right up to down we have had thunder every 4 or so minutes... Interspersed with heavy rain and even some sunshine. Wished I had my camera with me, as I have seen some amazing cloud structures. Good day all...
