  1. Im eagerly waiting to see that as well. But of a night time. The brightest star at the moment is Vega. The other star formation to look for is Cassiopeia. ðŸ‘
  2. All the best to you also BB. I get made redundant in January, so I have to start looking for a job, to bridge the time until I get my green badge (London black cab license) not looking forward to the job hunting though.... Sounds pretty tough out there.
  3. Evening all. Well a day of two halfs here. Beautiful sun and blues skies, this morning, but very chilly. Replaced around late morning by grey cloudy skies. Then come the afternoon sunshine blustery wind and heavy showers. Clear as anything now, with still a stiff breeze and a temp of 13c. Of topic... But whilst out running, I saw a house with their outside Christmas lights on..... In my view that's criminal. I might go to the culporates house later, take the bulbs out, and write a message telling them I will return them and fit free of charge at a more appropriate time 😄 @Captain Shortwave... Hope all goes well on the job front fella ðŸ™
  4. Evening all. Yesterday was awfull. I was driving over London Bridge, and I really wished I could of stopped to take a picture looking down the Thames. HMS Belfast and Tower Bridge was doused in horrible drizzly mist and rain. Then today driving over the same bridge at 7.30am it was glorious blue skies, with the sun shimmering off the Thames making the view perfect. Not great this afternoon, slate grey skies and some pretty heavy showers (typically as we were going to the local with some friends for our Sunday lunch) children were fine though, in their water proof jackets, and umbrellas.... Not the silly adults though😞
  5. Atlast, I can go to bed know.... 😄 Goodnight JP and everyone else. And thanks for the forecast. ðŸ‘
  6. I'm an accountant by trade. But training to be a London Black Taxi driver... I've had enough of all the office work. I want to be able to pick my own hours to work. Which will be around my family. Very heavy rain here now. I can hear it battering against the windows 😊
  7. i really love wildlife, but slugs I but salt on and flies I swat, for obvious reasons. That must of been awful treading on one of those bare foot. That actually makes my skin crawl... Good job though, getting up stair without putting your foot down. Bet the Mrs was happy 😀
  8. Unfortunatley I do though. 😞 I'm doing the knowledge of London, and will be driving round the city on my motorbike getting soaked. All in a good cause though 😊
  9. And...... Boom boom. That was bad 😄. (Actually, that was meant to be a joke, wasn't it?) the snails are having a field day in my garden, apart from one little fella I accidentally trod on a minute ago, whilst doing my dustbin duties 😞
  10. True BB, it really is. I even ducked out of going running tonight 😉. But I also fine it quite cosy, being in doors with the soft glow of the lamps, knowing outside its peeing down, dank, dismal, miserable and all the other words I've forgotten to explain this weather. But Hey ho - atleast its Friday, no work tomorrow 😊.
  11. Evening all. What a gloomy day. Have had pretty much non stop drizzle, since the moment I took my children to school, until I left work at 6. Now its just plain rain. Very unpleasant, but at least it's been mild. Current temp 16c, but looking out of the living room window, it looks a lot colder.
  12. Cheers JP. I've eaten my dinner and had a energy drink now (whoops beer) buts its high in sugar which after running is good for you ( my excuse) so hopefully I will be up to see your updates. Look forward to them mate, your doing a great job.
  13. Thats pretty standard winter fare. Only a few months to early 😃. Any toys been thrown around yet? I think I'm going to stay in the safety of this thread for the time being 😉
  14. Evening all. Well a pretty rubbish day here until about 4.30. Been grey and cloudy most of the day, and as home time loomed the clouds broke, and we had some sunshine and blue skies. Must say though, that dispute the gloom, it felt pretty warm today. Didn't take any temp readings, but I would hazard a guess at the very high teens, low 20s. Current temp 18c. Look forward to your updates later JP, if I can stay awake 😴very tired after my run tonight.
  15. Thanks for the updates JP. It looks like after today's no show weather. There is plenty of it to come. I'm off to bed now. Goodnight JP and all.
  16. Shocker? In what way? I'm a cold fan, just to let you know 😊ps I very well thanks, you ?
  17. Evening all. Well today's weather has been a yawn today. No wind, rain, sun.... Just standard grey! The cloud is starting to thicken now, and a few spits and spots of rain are starting to fall. Looking lively for the weeken though, which personally for me it not good at all, as I will be driving round London on my moped learning more street names.... Been reading through the winter thread earlier, and that always sends a volt of excitement to me. Be lucky
  18. Bless him. It's hard when you see them crying but have to leave them. My son was fine yesterday, he couldn't wait to go. That's only because his older brother is in year 1 now, and he wanted to go to his school. Today was not good though. He really started crying. I felt terrible leaving him, and had to make him go in. But I phoned the school when I got to work, and as soon as I left him, he was fine 😊. My eldest son, when he started reception last year cried for 2 months. But after that he couldn't wait to go to school. It's a big thing I think for both parents and children when they first start proper school. Emotions are all over the place. 😊
  19. Still 13c. But very damp outside now, we've had light crappy rain for the last 45mins. Just watching the England match, pre-recorded. Their performance is just as good as the weather tonight.... 💩
