  1. Seems like the new MO warning is sinking things further south. Hopefully that continues, and only the English Channel gets a top up.
  2. Still mild and calm here. Beer O' Clock for me ðŸ». Cheers everyone! Must say Team Jo 3.25 is a bit early hahaha
  3. Good morning - a dull, grey and mild start to the day here. Current temp 14c....
  4. 11c here at the moment. Had a great night taking the boys 'trick or treating' we got plenty of sweets. Not looking forward to all the rain though...
  5. Yep fully agree with that.... We have fine rain here now too.I'm off to bed now, back to work tomorrow after two action packed days with the family. The weather can do what it wants now, as long as it's quite, as I need sleep😄Good evening all.
  6. Haha nice one. I wouldn't mind the heating on, on a low heat. But my wife want the heating on full blast with each thermostat at 6.... That's why I try keeping it off as long as possible. BTW I don't really sit indoors wearing a coat and jumper hahaha
  7. Its always the sensationalists (I think you know who I'm referring too) make these forecasts so early. I'm just going to stick to here and the MO. Between the two we will get a very good idea what is in store / going to happen.
  8. After major pressure from my wife, the heating is now on.... Wasn't happy at first, but at least I can now take my jumper and coat off. Feels really nice now 😄
  9. And I was just getting accustomed to this dry, sunny and cool autumn weather...... Spent most of the day doing indoor activities today. But when I did go outside it was lovely blue skies, but felt nippy.... Currently 12c here.
  10. Morning everyone. A clear and crisp start to the day here. Looking out of the window, all the cars here are also covered in a thick dew... Currently 6c here. Must start getting ready... Busy day ahead today. Cinema, lunch and a children's Halloween party to attend today.... I love being off work😄 Have a great day all....
  11. Oh JP you tease haha.6c outside now. Taking the bins outside was a cold task tonight. Can't wait to jump into bed... Goodnight all.😊
  12. Evening all. What a fantastic day today, both weather wise and family wise. We have had literally wall to wall sunshine all day today, apart from the odd rouge cloud. It has also felt a lot cooler of late, which I don't mind. We spent the day today over a country park feeding the squirrels and ducks, and exploring streams and woodland for insects. This was all topped off (to keep with things) a beef stew and pumpkin carving. Here are some pics from today.... Current temp 10c, and feels very chilly. Have a great evening guys...
  13. Morning all. Beautiful start to the day here. Crystal clear blue skies, but a chilly 9c. Looks like I picked a great day to take off, to spend with my family....
  14. The trolls in here tonight mocking the storm are twats.... Sorry for the outburst. For the poster who said the storm was like a wet fart 'hope you Shi¥ yourself'.....
  15. I think I've learnt a lesson today. People seem more likely to react to bad / extreme weather like flooding, heavy snowfall, fog etc because it can be seen... I for one over the past few days was hoping for a big wind storm, but last night I kept waking up not to see the storm, but to make sure my wife and children were okay. I mean, you can see flood water rising, heavy snowfall getting deeper, or fog so dense you take all the proper precautions necessary. Wind in my mind as shown today is an invisible killer. I can honestly say, I will never wish for a major wind storm again. I get a real buzz when extreme weather is being forecasted, but not anymore where wind is concerned.
  16. Still very blustery out there, and the clouds are starting to turn very dark. My journey to work was fine. I was only delayed as the Dartford Bridge was shut, and the traffic started queueing back onto the A13. It did get a bit hairy once I had passed the bottleneck, and got going on the open A13 towards London. The crosswind was terrible, and I felt a little uncomfortable overtaking some of the very slow moving highsided lorries. Although it seems my location got away with this storm very lightly, my thoughts go out to those who were not so lucky....
  17. Just got into work. Haven't seen to much damage, but the cross winds are making driving very hazardous...
  18. Moderate rain falling here now. Like many others, I'm off to climb the wooden hill to bed, with my alarm set for 3am. Laters people.
  19. It means the pressure of the low approaching getting deeper
  20. Raining here now. Nothing to heavy, but everything is soaked. Just seen my neighbour taking out his rubbish bin for tomorrows collection. I wouldn't mind, but he has reminded me about 5 times today about the wind storm, and to make sure everything is secure. Words fail me
  21. If you see a bloke walking around at about 2am with a camera trying to get some pictures that's me. Anytime after that, phone the police...
  22. Ahhh another Chaffordioian. where abouts are you. I live 5 mins away from the Sandmartin?
  23. Your just up the road from me.... what a small world haha. We've had drizzle, and about 10 - 15 mins ago something more meaningful, but it has now all but stopped...
