    Fair comment. But after reading and following the models over the past few days it's always been a cold spell around the 20th for a few days. Nothing of major note for us south of the midlands (snow wise) but to the north of that, there could and most probably be snow. I for one can't wait to feel the cold air hitting me. Not expecting snow, but some harsh frost will be great. I'm sure this won't be our winter....

    Cracking start to the day here also. I was lucky, as by the time I left to take the children to school there was only a thin melting layer of frost on the car, which the wipers delt with accordingly.

    I would rather be heathy and not have that, in all honestly. Bronchitis, is awful and with the elderly can kill. My neighbour died of it. Your a young lad so will be fine, but don't make light of it.... Anyway hope you feel better soon.

    After some really heafey rain, it has now stopped... All I can here now is bloody fireworks. Clearing skies now. A temp of 9c but feels very chilly in the wind.

    My god that storm looks terrible. Hope everyone can get out of harms way, and no fatalities are reported. Back to our little corner and densely populated area, the weather has been okay. To sum it up, I will say bright... That's it really. It feels a lot cooler than it did last night. Anyone got an heads-up on the weather in Norwich this weekend. I'm going there to watch the mighty Hammers play... Thanks

    Rain stopped around mid afternoon here. Since then, it's just felt horrible.... A mild, damp and windy end to the day. I can also hear bleeding fireworks still going off. 💣

    Evening all. Weather first.... Very wet start up until late morning. Then had an hour of the cloud breaking, and blue sky appearing. That soon vanished, and has been dull and grey all afternoon. Patchy cloud now and feels very cool. Not heard too many fireworks tonight. I guess most had them at the weekend just past, or waiting for the weekend coming.

    5c now, but feels like 2c. DP 3c. Perfectly clear skies. I've had a good hour doing some star gazing. Off to get a nice warm drink, then off to bed. Goodnight guys 😊

    Been really nice here today albeit cold - but what do I expect, it's winter next month. It's been pretty much wall to wall sunshine and the wind has thankfully subsided again, to leave a cold crisp clear evening. Going to be out later doing a bit of star gazing, great night for it at the moment. Current temp a rather chilly 7c.

    Great fireworks tonight. I set the last one off around 7pm, and as soon as it had finished it started to rain. Great timing even if I do say so myself So since around 7 it has been raining, and getting slightly heavier now. The last BBC forecast I saw (quite a few hours ago) has the main band to hit our region around 11pm ish? Is this still the case? Current temp 9c, and at last that horribly nagging wind has subsided.

    Morning all - a bright start to the day here. Current temp 8c, but feels a lot colder than that in the fresh wind.

    Lucky you. Since it got dark around 5 here, it hasn't stopped. I can still hear them going off now. Might have to have a night cap to help me get to sleep 😉

    Still very gusty here, but doesn't seem as strong as an hour or so ago. Still seeing a few flashes, and hearing the odd bang. I have a new worry now... I've just been greeted with a nest of false widows in our porch. I've cleared out what I can, but I still feel ichy and uncomfortable. I'm not looking forward to going to bed now.....looks like a full search of all the beds now😞

    Very gusty outside now. I can see fireworks being blown all over the place. Glad our fireworks are not tonight. I would of felt very uncomfortable setting them off near my children. Have a safe rest of a firework night guys.....

    I haven't stopped thinking about your Olympic Breakfast all day. That's what happens when you only have an apple and banana for breakfast. Only speaking for my location, but no weather happened here today. It was just grey..... Next time CC could you post a picture of it?
