  1. Evening all. Skies clearing now. Feels quite chilly in the clear crisp air. 6c atm
  2. Yes. We have just had a lively shower here too. Feels raw out there in the wind and rain....
  3. Morning. To put it bluntley, a crap start to the day here The rain, which pelted me and my children on the way to school has now stopped, and the cloud does seem to be breaking up. A chilly 6c atm, but in that wind it feels a hell of a lot colder.
  4. i got soaked twice today JP. Got caught in the squall at lunch, then skipping off work early I got caught again. But not so bad that time....😞 all the same it was most unpleasant though. Glad to be home dry and warm 😊
  5. Bloody hell. If only ðŸ˜. Thanks for posting that ðŸ‘
  6. A very random question, but does anyone know what happened to Dan Corbett? I used to love his jolly and sometimes sarcastic forecasts.
  7. What temp have you got where you are Tom? I take it they are not rising, like here....
  8. In all honesty mate, I will be happy for the time being if we get a nice spell of frost and fog. I can wait for the snow for a few more weeks yet...But I understand your frustration, at one point the models were looking very promising ðŸ˜
  9. Got caught in another shower as I left work around 4.45ish. Cleared for now, but feels warmer than what it has been all day... Current temp 6c and DP 2c. Just been reading up on the weather forecast for our holiday to Lapland next month... God it's cold highest temp in the next 2 weeks is -2 with a windchill of -18... 😱
  10. Yes same here too. Temp risen to 6c now. I would of thought with the clear skies, the temps would struggle to rise. Well if we keep the clear skies, we should hopefully get a frosy / icy night..
  11. Ditto here. Rain, thunder, hail and very gusty wind. All over in 15 mins. Its going to take me a lot longer than 15mins to dry off though....
  12. Slight frost on some cars round here now. It's quite a chilly walk to the local to watch the footie as well brrrrr
  13. Evening all Well today was a bit of a shock to the system, when I walked out this morning to take the children to school. After debating (me telling) my 4 year old son for 20 mins that he needs to wear his hat and scarf to school, I think the penny finally dropped when we left home! He still managed to have the last word though... As he was walking into his class, where I can't go he said 'I'm not wearing this at play and lunch time' the little so and so 👹 Been spoilt today with lovely clear skies, and a bright sun, which was quite misleading from the office window. When I went out for the lunch, that wind was biting, so instead of my ham salad roll, I nipped to the chip shop for some warm comfort food 😇. Current temp 5c and a windchill of 2c. Off out for a run in a bit to burn off those scrummy chips....
  14. A question for the mods.... Is the avitar at the bottom of the screen where you can see who is on line going to be disabled all the time during the hopefully busy winter months? Cheers

  16. Morning - Damp and mild start here. Its actually got damper & damper as the morning has progressed. Day started of well, especially for a Monday. Then I split the sole of my shoe... I now have a wet left foot, and unfortunatley it will have to stay like that until I get home a 6.30 tonight.
  17. Hey, well done Tom and Chris, thanks for doing this. As for the Yorkshire lad / lass they must have a handicap of atleast 20cm.... Can't wait for the cup to start. ðŸ‘
  18. Morning all. A cloudy but milder start to the day here. Think I will stay out of the model thread for the time being, and just wait to see what surprises if any crop up over the next few weeks. Good day all...
  19. Morning all. A lovely bright and crisp start to the day here. Mind you it was a bit chilly driving into London on my motorbike this morning. I had to stop off for a cheeky Costa to warm up. Have a great one all.
  20. Happy you feel cheered up BB. I love our thread. Even more so than FB and twitter, where I interact with my human friends. You cyber bunch are great...:-) On a seperate note, I don't envy being a poor Mod tonight on the model thread. Even though Team Jo seems to be reining posters in :-D you go Jo haha. To keep on topic, it's clear and 7c here at the moment. Cold enough to blow vapour smoke. Have a great evening all. Laters
