  1. 24C top temp today. Could have fooled me. Felt like 27C in the Sun. Wall to wall Sunshine.
  2. Got 15 degrees of C already. Full Sunshine. Here we go for temperatures to climb and climb. Enjoy it while it lasts!
  3. Scorchio! Reached 22C yesterday but felt ridiculously hot in comparison to recent temperatures. Seedlings suffering in the greenhouse! Its either too cold, too wet or too hot lol! Cannot complain in the main, the ground is, for the first time in 2018, drying out!
  4. I planted some Peas! Yay! Finally got a few areas ready for the veg. Potato patch still needs to dry out. Feeling quite reliably mild. Will it last? Some say a cold snap towards the End of April. A repeat of the early May frost of 2017?
  5. Warmest evening we've had in a while. Sunny. Temp 11C Humidity 63% Dewpoint 4C
  6. I think we're overdue some very "sunny spless". Courtesy, the MAD thread, page 104.
  7. Is it possible that the MetO are taking into account the saturated ground? Don't know the conditions where you are but many areas in our region - including mine - are bog-like. Water tables being totally full. Any extra rainfall - especially prolonged - puts areas near water courses on flood alert, if they aren't already.
  8. MetO has removed most of us who were in a snow warning. Rain warning now. Just what I dreaded. Temp 4C Humidity 87% Dewpoint 2C
  9. Wales (excluding Cardiff - and Pembrokeshire) is defined in outline on radar, by sleet, and snow over the higher ground.
  10. Another tray of seedlings that can't wait to see some proper daylight... off to the little plastic greenhouse. A frost is pronged late in the week, hope the little things survive, 'cos they won't survive indoors and can't be planted. I hope there's a prolonged settled spell in the offing, this land needs to dry out!
  11. A lovely Sunny start to this morning. Clouded over now. Tulip buds have formed and look ready to open any day now. Dreading the potential rainfall totals tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a lovely day. Temp 6C Humidity 70% Dewpoint 1C Pressure 1013.1
  12. Sowed my tomatoes 2 weeks ago. I can't get an Aubergine to germinate for love or money. Toms under the only little grow light I've got. Some on Window.. Peppers are still stunted little seedlings. Leeks still only poking through. Its the potatoes I want out. Some are in buckets but the bed I have earmarked for most of them is a bog right now. Even if you load compost on top, its soup underneath still. Spent an hour or so today moving Brassica seedlings to the allotment. They are under cover.. I've simply no room at home for them. Tomorrow I'll take some of the celery and lettuce. Everything is a month behind with me. I've got some edging to do and some patches to clear...digging mud is the worst thing I am faced with.. some grass has taken hold and it has to go. Happy Easter to all... and I hope we can all find at least some entertainment in watching for snow Easter Monday.
  13. Could probably get some potting-on done. Realistically, nothing can go in - far, far, too wet.
  14. Stupid rain. Can't it just rain for one day, and then let the Sun have a turn? No gardening for what seems, ages. t Feeling sort of
  15. Hardly Springtime. Its going to take weeks to disperse this waterlogged bogginess from the land. This weekend could have been so productive. Alas. Still raining, of course. Temp 4C Humidity 92% Dewpoint 3C
  16. Nasty quasi stationary system. Rainfall rate increasing the chances of snow.
  17. Sorry, South of M4 dwellers, but I'm in a MetO warning zone for snow Monday. Would rather you have it! Everyone okay? More rain, rain and more rain. Allotment is just a quagmire mess.
  18. Personally, I'm just looking for useable gardening days - coinciding with when I'm free! I'll do 8C if its dry and be very glad of that. 15C and rain, well, who can use that? My ground is still absolutely sodden wet. I want my potatoes in, you cannot plant potatoes in mud with the prospect of that mud rotting them. Weather is never perfect I know. Models are just a hapless chancers game at this time. Experienced forecasters will use the 72 hour advance rule - and nothing after that is ever certain. ... but these models are supposed to be the bees knees at guidance and, in this day and age, they cannot resolve Springtime weather patterns.... ?
  19. Temp 10C Humidity 66% Dewpoint 3C A dull, damp day. Currently thin stratus at dusk.
