    Wind starting to get up on the south of the iow hopefully bringing the colder air with it!!

    Must admit things now looking good for a bit of snow, even for me living right on the south of the iow. I must also say I wish we had a forecaster like Ian Ferguson on south today, Alexis Green is o.k but not a patch on Ian. Enjoy the snow all it is coming!! A note of caution for the elderly though must be awful for them. Can't wait to lamp post watching on Friday morning.

    Hammering down with rain on the south of IOW at the moment, hopefully turn to snow later.

    Heavy rain on and off on the iow this morning also had a couple of meaty hail showers! Still looking marginal for any white stuff for iow, had a look at the latest met office warnings and iow not included at the moment.

    Another one from the iow here, think our chances are going to be marginal, think we may see a little but will turn to rain - hopefully not though we need a bit of luck, fingers crossed!! Lets hope the models upgrade further bring it on!!!

    I am on the extreme South Coast of the Island and we are definitely get snow at the moment all be it light - will it continue - I doubt it will turn to rain in the not too distant future.

    Light Flurry in Ventnor, I am as South as you can pretty much get in our region, my instincts are that we are set for Rain and more rain but fingers crossed.

    Some interesting developments, also have a look at the precip charts in the chart section. Looking promising, lets cross everything night,night peeps!!

    Fingers crossed and almost everything else that we get a decent bit of the white stuff, although after the winter we have had cant say that I am particularly optimistic. BBC weather on South today said dry and sunny for the remainder of the week - lets hope this changes. We need the models to be on side and the way they have been changing we cant really rely on them at the moment. Looks like good old fashion LampPost watching. Positive thinking and thoughts is what we need, come on if we all do this it will happen!! :-)

    I like the new thread, generally when looking at the Model thread these are the posters I look out for as they generally explain the models in a way in which I could only dream of. Excellent idea and one I will certainly look at first.

    Yes this misty/fog is horrible, has been 10 degrees on the Island today. Happy new Year to all
