Just had a call from my Wife snowing at Ventnor IOW. Looking as though we may get the odd shower if we are lucky....Thames streamer?

Well has our last chance of any snow gone for this cold spell? Things certainly not looking good for the rest of the week for any snow although hopefully it will be dry, cold and sunny, which in my book is definitely a good 2 nd prize!! Hopefully we will still have a chance in the coming weeks but my mind is gradually looking forward to spring and some warm sunny weather (hopefully). It was still light at 5 pm tonight so spring is not far away. It has again been a disappointing winter thus far our hunt for snow continues, but boy isn't the chase all part of the fun? looking at the MOD thread 3 times a day, winter would not be the same without it. Roll on spring!!

Can't wait for spring now! Can't beat seeing Daffodils and Tulips in flower, the days starting to lengthen (5pm and still light tonight!). Be able to take the dog for his evening walk in the light soon. Also as someone who likes fishing spring brings the excitement that it won't be long until the Mackerel are their to be caught! So come on spring a nice snowy start followed by some seasonably warm dry days you know it makes sense!!

Fingers crossed we will get a bit of snow, us snow starved southerners and even more snow starved westerners certainly deserve a bit of the White stuff. Things shaping up to be interesting but as always think it could be marginal for us this week, weekend and early next week certainly do look interesting. Let's hope things upgrade and we have 10 inches of snow in few days time.....stranger things have happened!!

Started the day with a frost this morning temperature wAs -0.2 at 7am temperature now rising and is 2.6 and cloudy.

First frost all year including last winter on the IOW! Been a gloomy day with cloud all day and a top temperature of 11 degrees.

Wall to wall sunshine, light winds and a temperature of 11 degrees a lovely Autumnal morning on the Isle of Wight.

Cloudy and overcast most of the day with some late afternoon sunshine. Maximum temperature 18 degrees today.

Would love a white Christmas as never seen one before, hopefully this year can be the one, fingers crossed!! Chances for where I live are extremely slim but there is always a chance even if it is slim one.

99 mph recorded at the Needles. Plenty of trees down, ferries cancelled on the IOW, hope this calms down have a ferry to catch at 11.30, what are my chances?

Raining south IOW now, winds not too strong at the moment, fingers crossed storm has passed by 10 am got to catch a ferry at 1130 what do you think my chances are? Evens!
