  1. Can't wait for this to hit now as we have a nice base of hailstones. Any snow that does fall will stick instantly B)

  3. Just noticed that the met office has upgraded their warning for my area to orange, be prepared for tonight and tomorrow. Happy days.
  4. Well showers are pretty frequent now here. Mostly light with the odd heavier burst and mostly of hail with snow mixed in. The next 3 - 4 hours will tell. Hope yous people that are doubtung this get something.

  7. Just took these. As i say its now much but its a base for whatever will fall later.
  8. Here in Derry today the showers have been pretty persistent. Nothing lay during the day but had a very heavy hail shower about have an hour ago and its pure white outside. Nothing major but its a start!!
  9. The local bbc forecast just gave 5-10cms from midnight on. Looking pretty good for Derry. Also said that Dublin airport has been closed to clear snow.
  10. Some real beefy showers of hail and snow have been affecting Derry since 8 o'clock this morning and its just starting now again. Can't wait for tonight.
  11. Theres been hardly anything metioned about us except for the snow for tommorow night and into the early hours of tuesday.
  12. N.Ireland looks set to get a bit of snow late tommorow night and into the early hours of tuesday then later in the week alot more. Exciting times ahead.Green with envy watching the news reports tonight for southern england. That was some crack of thunder when those two people were getting interviewed!!

  14. I really hope your right. Even if theres very little snow at lower levels i always jump in the car and head to the Glenshane. Its amazing up there in the snow. I take the dog and head up through the forest, its a beautiful walk.
  15. Know exactly what you mean. Got up about an hour ago, looked out and just had a wierd feeling. Thought to myself, that looks like its drying for snow.lol.
  16. Remember this well!! Was feeling really jealous that everyone else was getting the snow when all of a sudden we had inches of snow in a couple of hours. Pretty amazing!!

  18. I really hope your right mountain shadow. Heres hoping. Not really worried anyway as we had a great event last week. Time for other people to do well. Have a look at my photos in the photography section of our last event. No wonder i was pleased with it.

  21. Most were taken on the Glenshane which at the highest point is 1000ft. Hope we get another few snow events like this. It was really nice.
  22. Heavy sleet here last night and this morning. Heading to Glasgow for the weekend, won't care about the weather as hopefully i'll be sitting in a nice warm bar.
