Hi Floaty, yes it seems there is indeed an issue.
-
Another cold night minimum temp -1.8c. Currently 0.7c

Lowest temp last night -1.5. Still a very chilly day, currently 0.8c
-
Brrrr currently 0c with a dewpoint of -0.6c

Meanwhile, in the proper north, it's already below freezing, which is by far the earliest sub-zero recorded this winter. Could be on for a cold one tonight while I'm trying out my new telescope camera.
Ah those kind of nocturnal activities :winky:
Temp dropping quickly here. Currently 2.5c
Clear skies, perfect night for stargazing!
-
Got down to 0.1c during the night. Lots of fog about this morning.
-
Quiet a few people in chat tonight. So if anyody fancies bobbing in to say hello you know where we are.

Reposting Liam's post from last night.
I'll make it easy for you, below is a link to contact the Meto, if you have any further complaints about the current warnings or lack of them please click the link and either call them or send them an e mail! Alternatively contact them via Facebook or twitter.
To reiterate, if you are not happy with the service they are providing then please do complain. Without feedback how can they improve their service?
I'm not a huge fan of their new warnings system myself as I do think it is quiet confusing and I have emailed them and told them that.
For sure it was very windy last night which took a lot of us by surprise and I'm not disagreeing with some of the sentiments expressed here but I think it's very clear what the overall opinion is so maybe we can move on now?
-
Still very windy here. Never known such prolonged winds.

I live in the north, of course not.
In a barn?

I did post last night how nasty it was here in leyland, lancashire in north west, but i have to say tonight that wind is howling and its sustained winds too, alot alot stronger than last night, last night was very nasty gusts but this is sustained and i live in front of a small woodlands that surrounds a big park and i can see the massive trees bending, quite frightening here at the mo and its getting worse. I cant tell you the wind speeds as ive no way of measuring it.
Hi SparkleS. Yes can confirm the winds are much worse tonight. You live near Worden Park?
-
Howling gale here. Winds increasing all the time. Gusts of 60mph. Nearly knocked me off my feet whilst out with the dog. Pressure falling very rapidly.
-
eh it's a bit windy tonight.
Is there any cold forcast anytime soon?
Lol I know by far windier tonight!
As it stands currently, potential cold around the 15th of this month. It's a waiting game I'm afraid.
-
Very windy here also and it's been raining pretty much all day.
